"I don’t usually ever write a review but I’m doing this to hope for a better experience. I don’t even know where to start. I ordered a $9 margarita that tasted like juice and did absolutely nothing for me. The food was great but I honestly could have cooked it at home, so I feel like it’s a tad overpriced for the taste. The catfish I had was a bit bland and undercooked. I’m not necessarily complaining. I just wish I could say I genuinely enjoyed my meal. I had my family/ children with me but the restaurant was so dead quiet I felt like we were maybe disturbing others. Maybe some music or SOMETHING would make it feel different (if that makes sense). Anyways… with a few improvements this restaurant has potential to thrive"

The stuffed mushrooms were pretty bad, the steak overcooked even though I asked for rare. We didn't get our salads at all. However the seasoning on the both steak and shrimp was good.Food: 2/5

Talk about a sleeper! It's an unassuming little place. Interior is beautifully done. The Seafood! OMG! Delicious! Paco's Combination of Shrimp, Chicken and Steak was spot on....and those Potatoes! Will be going back for sure!

stuffed mushrooms really had no taste except the crab stuff. they were not cooked enough. ribeye was only 1/4 inch thick a boiled over a hard one. the best part of the dinner was the salat in the kartoffels! I'm sorry, would not recommend it or go back. View menu

Stopped here for dinner. The food had good taste and texture. The price for the food was average. I would recommend this restaurant if you can't decide between Mexican and seafood, because you can get both. Staff was very attentive and friendly. A pleasant dining experience.Food: 4/5

Should have turned away when we only seen 6 cars in the parking lot at 7 o'clock p.m ... when we ordered our food that was on the menu . we was getting stuff that wasn't even what we had ordered . crab cakes was under cooked.. one tiny peice of Alaskan white fish it was terrible.. the only thing that was good was the baby shrimp and the hushpuppies would not recommend to anyone very bad choice for a dinner date with my husband

Seated quickly. Music very loud, said they were having a party. Salad was fresh lettuce ,hush puppies were good. Potatoes very greasy, scallops did not look to be cooked well( they were the color of canned pears)not sure what type of seasoning that was on the shrimp and scallops but it was not very good. Not sure that the steak was a ribeye it was disappointing. But the owner was kind enough to remove the price of the steak from the bill. Once again fooled by google reviews. This is definitely not the best place in Roanoke for seafood. will not return. View menu

A smiling, satisfied couple passed me as I pulled in to Don Camaron parking lot. I smelled good aromas walking inside. A happy Door Dash driver was collecting his delivery. Se hablá español! Everyone was friendly and I was promptly seated. My order was taken quickly and food came in good time. The cod was plump, flaky, well seasoned and the shrimp juicy (not jumbo, though). My salad was basic, fine with me! I didn't recognize the brand of coffee but it was fresh, hot and good! Lunch specials are decent, portions large Im trying the tacos, or salmon next time!

"On our most recent trip we went for Valentine's and the reservation was chaos. However, at the end of the night, the overall experience was very nice. One of our meals was on the cool side, but was immediately rectified. The togarashi tuna appetizer was phenomenal. Our side salad served with an avocado vinaigrette was very tasty as was the fresh bread with seasoned oil My husband had the stuffed flounder. His dish was exceptional, but a bit small for the price. My dish is not on the current online menu; ahi tuna topped with crab, served with a baked potato and asparagus. The food was awesome, however it came out cool and once rectified the tuna was overcooked The online menu is not up to date. The actual menu is much smaller. The desserts were the highlight of the night, very tasty Overall, our server Zack, was very good. Since it was a very busy night, he did great I would recommend this restaurant if the menu suits you."

"I thought I knew what good pizza and tiramisu were, but then I had Papa's. This is far and away better than any pizza and Tiramisu I've had- better than in New York, Chicago, or even from when I was fortunate enough to visit Italy. It's been a couple of days, but I can still remember how it tasted.We had the margarita pizza- a simple sauce, basil, and cheese. The sauce had a subtly spiced deep tomato flavor that tasted somehow both fresh and concentrated without coming across like a tomato paste. Its bread base was moist but not soggy, just the right amount of chewy, and had a subtle fermented quality that helped it go down easy. As for the Mozzarella, it was simple, clean, and had the subtle sweetness of fresh dairy. Everything was in perfect balance and left my stomach full but not too full. I was sated, but still hungry for more after half a medium pizza.We finished with the tiramisu. The creamy top layer was light and sweet, with a healthy dusting of good cocoa. Beneath that were lady fingers soaked in cream that was reminiscent of tres leches cake and maintained a perfect body. The bottom layer absorbed an excellent espresso that offered just the right amount of bitterness as well as a deep, complex coffee flavor that complemented the cacao as well.It was absolute bliss, and if you're in the area you owe it to yourself to give it a try."

"After discovering a feature on Hometown Eats about Burger In the Square, I knew we had to try out this burger establishment. We ordered burgers, fries and onion rings....classics that you can 't go wrong ordering. After the way the news reporter rave about this place, I couldn 't wait to dive in. Well to say I was disappointed was an understatement. The burger was drowning in either butter or grease. When biting into the burger it was hard to tell which 'grease ' I was tasting. You need a bib to handle the excess grease that will be all over your hands and dripping from the burger. Did I mention the burger was undercooked? I don 't mind a pink burger but I don 't want a rare burger! The onion rings and fries well....they were nothing short of 'icky '. The grease taste is prominent in the fries rings. It reminds me of going to a place where they only change the grease once a week and you taste everything that has been thrown in the deep fryer. The onion rings were soggy and worse than the fries. This was truly a disappointing meal. There are times where I will give a restaurant the benefit of the doubt and chock it to a bad night. This experience will be the first and last time we visit Burger in the Square (yes it was that bad)."

"I decided to order food from this restaurant through DoorDash because I wanted to give it a try without having to travel across town. Unfortunately, I was let down when my gyro arrived wrapped in a flour tortilla instead of the traditional pita. The wrap contained three thin strips of gyro meat, along with an abundance of onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes. I would not recommend this dish as it did not resemble a true gyro, but rather a Mediterranean burrito with minimal meat. On the bright side, the spanakopita was delicious, although the large chunks of cheese in the center caught me by surprise. Despite this, they were well-cooked and very flavorful. The garlic sauce that I ordered had the texture of mayonnaise and was quite potent; I had to use a knife to spread it rather than being able to dip. Overall, I wasn't overly disappointed, but there is definitely room for improvement, especially when it comes to using tortillas for gyros."

"The delivery is always quick, and the chicken salad is absolutely delicious. I usually order the Olivia's Old South, which is fantastic, and I can't get enough of the bread—it’s amazing! The soup is excellent as well; it could easily be a meal on its own. I highly recommend this restaurant!"
