The fried chicken here is excellent. For takeout, it's a solid choice for dinner, with prices ranging from $10 to $20 per person. I would rate the food a 5 out of 5, and the service also deserves a 5. The atmosphere is a bit more average, rating a 3. I highly recommend trying the BBQ Sandwich Platter and the Fried Chicken Basket!

We decided to try this restaurant because it always seems busy, which is usually a sign of good food. It turned out to be even better than I expected! Everything we had was delicious. The staff was bustling, efficiently serving from two entrances. There was also a colleague dedicated to keeping the buffet area tidy. They serve some of the best BBQ I've ever had! View menu

I hadn't been to Duke's Barbeque in about thirteen years, and I must say, I absolutely love their BBQ—it's incredibly moist, flavorful, and delicious. I also took a look at their bathroom, which was clean and beautifully decorated. I really liked the pedestal sink; it's not something you often see in North Carolina restaurants. If you're in the mood for great BBQ, make sure to visit the Walterboro location—you won't be disappointed!

This restaurant provides an all-you-can-eat experience featuring mouthwatering, crispy chicken that is surprisingly not greasy. Alongside the chicken, there’s a selection of fresh vegetables, side dishes, and desserts, all made on-site by an expert chef with decades of experience. A wide range of sauces is offered to enhance the flavors, although the food is already nicely seasoned. The staff is welcoming, and the ambiance is relaxed and laid-back, making it a great place to savor classic Southern cuisine.

I recently had the pulled pork at Duke's, and it was among the best I've ever tasted. I've had plenty of pulled pork in my time, but this one truly impressed me. The sandwiches were excellent, and the hushpuppies were perfect. It's definitely a place worth visiting to soak in the atmosphere. The portion sizes are quite generous, providing more than enough for two meals. I should mention that I often drive 25 miles, passing other BBQ joints, just to enjoy Duke's. This charming little buffet spot offers great value at just $14 for all-you-can-eat food, desserts, and drinks. While it may not be the fancier dining experience, it’s a perfect stop for delicious food during a long journey. The dishes were fresh and featured all the Southern classics: mac and cheese, rice, beans, greens, fried chicken, fried okra, hush puppies, pulled pork, ribs, sweet tea, unsweetened tea, and more! My favorite was the fried chicken, which had a crispy, lightly seasoned crust and juicy meat. If you prefer to eat on the go, there’s also a drive-thru option available.

We just left Dukes, our meal was not at all as expected. Most everything was not hot or even warm. The chicken was good and crispy and the Mac and cheese if it had not been burned on the bottom. Canned corn and sweet potatoes maybe other items as well. Tables were sticky from grease. Table legs for tea were hairy with grease and dust. Return air conditioner filter same way very dirty. Spoke with manager for adjustment on price but received the answer I am not the owner.. Very DISAPPOINTED and unhappy with meal. The restaurant provides generous discounts for seniors and children, along with a unique "super senior" discount for guests aged 85 and older. After paying, diners receive plastic utensils and a foam plate before selecting from an array of regional dishes, such as BBQ hash and rice pearlow. Drinks are included in the buffet price, and I thoroughly enjoyed everything I tried, as all the food is homemade. However, they've recently taken ribs out of the buffet due to cost concerns; these are now available a la carte on Saturdays only.
