"As always our meal was fantastic. El Tipico is one of the best restaurants in Toledo. My wife and I have been coming for five years and we love it. There are few restaurants around that use ingredients that are as fresh and of the quality that they use. It really makes a difference. I think the ET nachos are the best appetizer I've ever had and we always get them. The food always comes out prepared to perfection and very hot. I love the family history on the walls. Its a great dining experience. Our server was great. She was a very memorable person and she has been our server most of the times we have come in. We were happy to see her last night. Your restaurant is an absolute local treasure. Thank you"

I lived five years in los angeles and would often travel south to baja california, mexiko. I would eat in the small towns that gave me the experience of identifying and appreciate real Mexican cuisine. el tipico is the right one, and that's hard to find. what I liked best about el tipico is the simpleness of fresh ingredients that are only prepared for them. they are clearly not mass production of food and heat it. also they are just on some ketchup salsa and call it mexican. I recommend to know. only advise, it is probably quite different from what they are used to. it is an improvement and you will love it.

Stopped here on a whim after the zoo. I was a bit thrown off after realizing that the restaurant was organic and gluten-free as that is not my typical go-too. The food and the service ended up being wonderful! The salsa and the beef tips especially. Will definitely be open to going back when I am in the area again.
