"The place is cool looking and the food was good but our waitress was terrible and extremely rude! I have a gluten allergy, and when I told her, she rolled her eyes. Literally rolled her eyes! I also wasn 't drinking because I was driving. I ask her for a big water and again with the eye roll! There were 5 of us and our table was plenty big. I asked if we could pull up 2 more chairs because 2 more friends were joining. You guessed it...eye roll! She then said rudely, I will have to check and see, and walked away. She never checked. When we got the bill, she added her tip. I guess you can be as rude as you want if you know the tip is going to be added. If I were not with other people, I would have left. Terrible experience."

We very much enjoyed Fat Cat. Delicious cheese curds, burgers, fish fry. We sat outside and people watched. A very good experience.

Been here several times! Never been disappointed with the food or the drinks or the service. Perfect for a weekday stop or on the weekend!

Delicious food and drink. Brussel sprout appetizer is fantastic and the fries are really good too. great place for a drink outside in the summer! View menu

I ordered the biscuits and gravy and it was on point. I’m very picky about my biscuits and gravy and this was very very good. There were really nice big chunks of sausage in there unlike some places that gives you little bitty pieces. I would definitely order the biscuits and gravy again.

The live music was great. The service was rude and terrible, but the music makes it nice once you are in and settled. They allow more people in than what can sit and fit inside, so be wary of capacity upon arrival. Not really any place to stand that isn’t in the way of people walking through.

Walked here from the Green Mill down the street Rest after their Saturday Paper Machete showing. It wasn’t super busy so service time was very good. Food was fresh, hot, and tasty. We enjoyed our server Walter, he was very energetic and accommodating! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free buns are available. View menu

Full house early Saturday evening. VERY LOUD inside. Thankfully, we made reservations recommend and were able to sit outside. The food was fantastic! Service slow, took 25 minutes to get a drink and order. BUT, I do think the lack of service was particularly due to the Fat Cat being packed. Still tipped nicely, we were out of there in time for our Saw Doctors show at the Aragon. Will definitely try again when I can sit outside.

First, I want to say that the manager and our second waitress were so amazing and helpful. However, our first waiter was incredibly rude and disrespectful. My friend asked his opinion on a few of the drinks she was considering and he began insulting her. So much so that I was scared to ask any questions about the menu. I alerted the manger and she was very professional and apologetic.Unfortunately the food wasn’t great. The fries were good, but my pork belly sandwich was actually pulled pork and the flavor was very weird. The fries were a high point, but everything else was just ok.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
