"Firstly, I wasn’t greeted with the usual "Welcome to Firehouse" that I’ve come to expect at other locations. Secondly, they completely ignored me while I waited to place my order, despite being the only customer there. It was only after I had been waiting for a while that they finally acknowledged me and apologized, but their apology felt insincere. Additionally, I found their behavior unprofessional; they were making immature jokes loudly while preparing my sandwich. When my name was called for my order, I thanked them, but unfortunately, I received no response. I don’t frequently write reviews, but I felt it was necessary to share my experience. I hope the staff can learn some basic customer service skills and show a little more courtesy. To top it off, I also found a hair in my sandwich."

Meatball sub combo= $22 without an “ expected” tip. Just to expensive!

They make a tasty sandwich. I like the Engineer and my wife likes Club on a Sub. The ham cheese and meatball is good

The staff were somewhat rude and seemed unfamiliar with serving people of color. I won't be returning. I tried to support the firefighters and first responders, but honestly, I don't understand the hype—it's not all that great. View menu

I had a worker named Shane mess up my order. I ordered chips and salsa and received chips with ketchup. Consider my disappointment immeasurable. Management needs to make sure its employees are trained and equipped with the tools to better server their customers.

WARNING! The sweet and spicy sub is EXTREMELY SPICY. There is absolutely nothing sweet about it whatsoever. I’m able to eat Buffalo spice no problem and I couldn’t even take a whole bite of this. So unless you are used to eating fricking ghost peppers, do NOT order this thinking it’s going to be sweet and spicy because it’s not. It’s not even enjoyable. That’s my only complaint. Everything else here is awesome.

I have allergies to tomatoes and onions, and I thought the Uber Eats app allowed me to customize my toppings. Can't you read orders?!? I specified NO ONIONS and NO TOMATOES, but guess what was on both of my sandwiches?!? When I called, someone named Evan or Devon told me that the order came through as (2) Hook Ladders with everything included. I'm really glad I checked, because it could have turned out badly for me. You've lost a customer! View menu

I called today at 4:25 first off the person who answered just answered hello. He didn't say firehouse subs or anything else. I had to ask if it was firehouse. He said yes on cedar bluff. I asked if the were open because I'm the app it said closed. He said yes sir (I I'm a woman and you can tell that) I said ok thanks. 10 mins later we show up at the store, people inside but a note on the door that said closing at 4 pm. If they would have just said that on the phone it would have saved me a trip. Bad bad bad customer service!

The cleanliness is why 1 star. Love firehouse but this single time makes me never want to go back to this one. I watched an employee take trash out through the front door and throw the bags on the curb, go back in blow his nose right behind a worker making a sandwich facing her and the food, doesn’t wash his hands and grabs something from the food line and puts it in his mouth.I know what goes on in kitchen’s cause i have worked a few. But thats just nasty. I hope he washed his hands before making sandwiches. For firehouse: I wrote this review on 1/10/2024 around 1:50pm about 5-10 minutes after the incident if you'd like to check the cameras so this can be addressed.

"Final Update (July 27, 2024): THEY PUT BACON IN MY VEGETARIAN CREPE. I am still traumatized and queasy from my breakfast this morning. I ordered a scrambled egg, spinach, tomato crepe, which is vegetarian, as I am a Muslim and do not eat meat outside. Most of the meal was fine, until the last bite. I felt a crunch that it should not have and did not have until the last bite. It's also definitely not the crust of the crepe itself as I was eating the crust together with the center nearly all the time. I was trying to figure out what this crunchy thing could be. Then I remembered reading somewhere BACON is crunchy and savory. A nearby waitress noticed my face go pale and asked if everything is okay. I asked about this crunchy, savory thing I tasted in the last bite that felt very weird, out of place, and asked if it could be BACON. She saw some leftovers in my plate and said it does look like that. I could not believe it. In all my years in USA, I have never had such a horrible experience with MEAT being contaminated into some VEGETARIAN dish. This is literally deserving of a lawsuit. The problem with crepes is you cannot open and see everything to ensure they didn't contaminate with some BACON before eating as that defeats the purpose of a crepe. I urge all vegetarians and Muslims to AVOID this restaurant like the plague. They have no standards of cross contamination if they cannot even keep pigs and dogs away from vegetarian dishes in the kitchen. I also just saw the latest edited response from the owner to my review and see they are accusing me of lying. How disgusting and unethical. I don't care if it's the first and last time you served a group at 3:45 pm in 15 years. You just had to check your CCTV footage and confirm several of us were waiting outside while this group barged in and ordered at 3:45 pm that day. If you need even more help, it was a group of young children, probably some school or high school, with a few older teacher-aged people. Now go find the footage and I hope you recant your accusation of me lying. Absolutely despicable. Only thing I agree with the owner on is the Strawberries and cream was good. But who knows, it might contain meat too, if you aren't looking. Old review I ordered the Bavarian cream since it looked simple and focused on the vanilla flavor. But it felt really disgusting in terms of texture. I was afraid it might have gelatin when I Googled the ingredients upon that feeling of disgust. I asked the staff for the ingredients and they brought a big bucket and showed me the ingredients. Thankfully, it didn't have gelatin. But I'm guessing the reason it tasted so bad was it was some wholesale cream sold at Costco or Restaurant Depot. Update 1: Made it 3* because the service was good and they replied they buy from a bakery, which is better. For me, personally, though, the food just did not taste good so I cannot give it more than 3*. I'm happy others seem to like it though. Just the Bavarian creams I've had in other places were better suited for my taste buds. Another issue I cannot increase the stars for is that the shop was supposed to be closed 3-4 Saturday and many of us waited outside in the sun whils a big group of people just walked in at 3:45ish and took a long time to order, which wasn't over even when I entered at 4pm as the first batch or customers."
