"People, this is a perfect example of how customer service has declined. My family and I are big fans of Firehouse Subs; we appreciate their support for firefighters, and the food is great. However, when we visited this afternoon, we encountered an issue. After ordering, the cashier informed us that they were out of salad. She asked if we were okay with that before we paid. I'm not very picky about my food, and I can manage without salad, but I can't help but wonder how difficult it would be for the restaurant to drive to one of the many local grocery stores or Walmart and buy some salad to keep things running smoothly. It would have shown that they value good customer service, which would have enhanced my experience along with my sandwich and all the other patrons dining at Firehouse today."

Love their subs. Plenty of meat, good seasoning. Reasonably priced.

Friday around 3:30 and they were extremely busy. Everyone was still very friendly and the cold Italian sub was so good. I received my food quickly even though they were so busy.

Every time my family and I visit, we have a fantastic experience. The food is consistently delicious, and the service is excellent. We come here frequently, and I can't get enough of their Beef Brisket sandwich!

Absolutely my favorite place to get a sub. The meat veggies and bread are always fresh. And that pickle on side just makes it even better. The customer service at every locations is always the best as well. My only suggestion is to remove the fountain machine amd go back with the old school style. View menu

I have placed an order online and when I came to pick it up, I was not greeted with a Hello or anything. They seemed more interested to talk to a man who either worked there or simply stopped saying hello, but nevertheless I had to say something before someone realized that I was there. It's bad enough that we run out nice places to eat or pick up food, but now Firehouse on Whiskey rd works in this way.wow, and think one of the nice staff previously asked me to download the app for a better online experience. Well, this experience has just killed this opportunity, sorry to say I will delete the app and share my experience with others.

I placed an online order and when I arrived to pick it up, I wasn’t greeted at all. The staff seemed more focused on chatting with a man who either worked there or was just passing by. I felt like I had to speak up before anyone noticed I was waiting. It's frustrating that there are so few nice places to eat or get takeout, and now Firehouse on Whiskey Road is adding to that disappointment. I remember one of the friendly staff members suggesting I download their app for a better online experience, but this visit has completely ruined that impression. I’m sorry to say that I’ll be deleting the app and sharing my experience with others.

"As soon as you walk into Metro Diner, you’re greeted by a bright and clean atmosphere. The first thing you notice is the cooking grill area, complete with a counter and stools for customers—this really enhances the nostalgic '50s vibe that the decor exudes. The menu features an impressive selection of food from various cuisines, and the specials displayed on the large chalkboard looked particularly enticing. We decided to order the fried chicken, which caught our attention. While chatting about the day—my wife had explored the railroad museum and a park in downtown Aiken—our server brought over a massive plate of chicken. My wife opted for the chicken and waffles, which came with strawberry butter and a sweet hot sauce that turned out to be delicious maple syrup mixed with Pete's Red Hot. I chose the fried chicken served with mashed potatoes and green beans. The green beans were fantastic—crisp, flavorful, and well-cooked, going beyond just being blanched. The mashed potatoes had that perfect homemade touch, with small bits of potato that confirmed they were made with real ingredients, not from a mix. Now, let’s talk about the chicken. Typically, my wife and I only eat the chicken itself, avoiding most of the skin and breading for health reasons, as I usually prefer just a little of the crispy coating. But Metro Diner has a secret: their fried chicken was so good that we ended up eating nearly all the skin and coating! Honestly, this was the best fried chicken we’ve ever tasted. It was served piping hot, and while we started with small bites to let it cool, we were completely captivated by the sweet and spicy sauce. The setup at the table made it easy to replenish the sauce as needed, and I even took home the recipe, which we've already used a couple of times. Our service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. Metro Diner truly lives up to its reputation for variety. I can only imagine how delicious breakfast must be there!"
