"Halls Chophouse offered not only exceptional food but also an extraordinary dining experience. First and foremost, reservations are definitely necessary! I booked a month in advance and my only time slots were 4:00 PM or 10:00 PM. When we arrived, everyone was incredibly welcoming and even inquired if we were celebrating something special—indeed, we were, as it was our anniversary before my fiancé proposed. After we were seated, we were treated to complimentary glasses of champagne and presented with an impressive array of meats, showcasing their quality and specials for the night. It was nothing short of spectacular! After a long day, this was the perfect place to unwind, and the portion sizes were just right. To top off our night, the owner stopped by our table for a delightful conversation, brought us more free champagne, and generously treated us to dessert. He was incredibly kind, and it's clear his employees hold him in high regard, just as we do. We couldn't have asked for a better dinner or service! Everything was truly remarkable, and we can't wait to return soon!"

"I just have one word that describes my experience here. WOW It was an absolute experience coming here. We were in town for my birthday and decided to eat here for my bday dinner/last night in Charleston. The vibe and atmosphere were classy, fun, and calming. They have a main bar area where you can grab a drink while you wait for a table and can be quite lively later in the evening. The dining rooms are towards the back, a lot quieter and more intimate so has a flavor for whatever you are into. The service was absolutely perfect. Our server (I wish I would have gotten her name she served our party of two at 10pm on Saturday 8/17) was so insanely friendly and personable. She knew her stuff and then some when it came to presenting the menu, but also would come chat with us and give us tips and recs for Charleston as she knew we were from out of town. They also gave us a free cheesecake and glasses of champagne on the house for our celebration. Just overall made us feel incredibly special and welcomed (we don't normally eat at places like this lol). The food, omg.....I am not overstating or being hyperbolic.......this was hands down without a doubt the greatest steak I have ever had in my life. Nothing even comes close. I had the Dry Aged Ribeye, and it has completely ruined steak for me because nothing will ever be that good. My girlfriend got the Filet, and it was in the same ballpark. Just legendary. We also got a side of the lobster Mac Cheese and it was fluffy with a perfect crust on top. Amazing flavor and texture. If you ever have the opportunity to dine, do yourself a favor and go. This was one of the best dinner experiences I have ever had. Thank you for making it a wonderful experience to the wait staff, the chef, servers, everyone there played a part and gave me a memory I will hold onto forever. Thank you!!"

"I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Adam and Jake. Last night we walked in at last call because it was our 21st anniversary and we were at Doar Bros last year for our 20th and loved it so much! We felt like we were going to be an inconvenience but, Jake made us feel so welcome! Adam, who also helped us last year, took the time to actually sit down with us and have a great conversation. I bought a shirt and will proudly represent Doar Bros everywhere I go! You have created memories that we will cherish the rest of our lives!"

The ranchero bowl was also a standout, packed with chorizo, eggs, salsa verde, and more. "We had an incredible meal at Circa 1886. This was our first time visiting Charleston and we wanted to find elevated food. Tasting menus are one of our favorite ways to experience many refined plates all at once. Circa 1886 has not one, but two tasting menus you can choose from. We got one of each and split all of the dishes. Don 't be thrown off by the small portion sizes because we both left incredibly full. All together it was over 10 plates! The flavors of each dish are complex, balanced, and well thought out. The tasting menu is a flavorful journey, and each bite a carefully crafted experience in your mouth. The menu is seasonally rotating, so there will always be something new to try. Our server was the bartender, Denis, who takes his job seriously. He is professional, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor. One of my favorite things to see at a restaurant is when the entire team is helping to create a great experience for customers. It is not just one server, but a team of people, like a well oiled machine, and all of them are knowledgeable about the menu and the food they 're serving. This restaurant serves with pride. If you are looking to experience high level food done with passion, look no further."
