"I have written well over 1000 reviews, and have very rarely rated a restaurant 1-star, but this restaurant earned this review. Customer Service is one of the most important parts of a dining experience, and I would give a zero for Customer Service. We had a large partner, and were seated rather quickly. Half of our partner received there order, while another 1/3 of our party waited over 15 minutes to receive their order, and the remainder of our party waited another 5 minutes. I ordered the all-you-can-eat fried chicken, since it was one of the specialities. My order was the last received. One of the members of my party ordered the brisket, and they were very unpleased. I tasted the brisket, it was very dry, tough and drenched in BBQ sauce. Eleven members were in my party, our server never offered a drink refill to anyone. I asked for a refill twice, for her to finally provide me with a refill. The sides I ordered were good, when I asked for another piece of chicken, I was informed they didn’t have the portion of chicken I requested. I was very disappointed with this dining experience, and would never return."

Flat Creek in Republic is amazing! I. Had the Sea Food TRio, Each item was crispy, non greasy, The service person was Glenda who is the best server we have had anywhere. Catfish was really awesome really big pieces we really like the sweet potato fries they were really good. The fried chicken still good but it was not hot today it has been sitting. First time visit, first time customers. The menu was full of choices and met all prices ranges of available items. The servings were ample. My favorite Flat Creek is in Cape Fair but i got a take out from Republic today. I was very disappointed and wished i would have opened the container up long before i drove miles away. The Chicken Taco Salad was very small, the chicken was salty, there wasn’t much chicken and it was $17.45 !! I’m totally disappointed!! It will be a long time until i go back or even at all

Would I return? Yes, I'll give it one more try for the sake of being fair. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely, and the service was excellent! Everyone in my party enjoyed their meals. However, my entire plate was lukewarm at best. The pulled pork had an average flavor, but it was definitely not warm or hot. The wild rice was in the same boat. The mashed potatoes with brown gravy were the biggest letdown, as they were served at what felt like room temperature. The overall lack of warmth in the food was disappointing, which is why I rate the meal with three stars. I’ll give it another chance to see if there's an improvement in the future.
