"However, I do have two significant concerns that prevent me from giving it a full five stars. First, during weekend lap swimming, there simply aren’t enough lanes designated for that purpose. They definitely need to provide more than just two lanes. Second, the bathrooms and changing areas are absolutely filthy. There's really no other way to describe them. They are dirty and smelly, and the stall doors don’t even lock. We've reached the point where we only use the bathrooms if the kids absolutely need to, and we just end up driving home in our wet swimwear because the conditions are so undesirable. It's really that bad."

The club is a very historic looking building and it has a great view of the Gravesend Bay and the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. View menu

Very nice place but it is only for veterans families. There is a museum in it. I went there with my daughter in her school trip. The see view is wonderful

We recently went to a party at the community center. The service and food were amazing. The staff were beyond helpful. Always smiling and very polite. We loved it so much that we are in the process of joining! View menu

Nice low-key establishment. A nice place to spend some time with good friends. You can go in for a bite to eat or have a couple of drinks at the bar or both! I went there on a Friday night and they had karaoke till 10:00 p.m. By the way that's when they close.

I found it really difficult to reach the staff at this restaurant. I've left several messages asking for information about a pool party, but I’ve received different answers from various employees. If the date I was inquiring about wasn't available, I wish I had been informed sooner so I could have arranged another venue for my daughter's party.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
