"I have been savoring lunch at this restaurant for several years now. Their menu offers a wide selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, a few main dishes, and some truly delightful desserts. The Chipotle chicken Caesar salad is fantastic, and the Cuban sandwich is substantial enough to satisfy even the biggest appetites (trust me on this!). After lunch, taking a leisurely stroll through the indoor antique market is a wonderful way to aid digestion and spark creativity. I will definitely return next week and the week after!"

I had the ham and cheese grilled sandwich with jam, and it was absolutely delicious! The pasta salad was great as well. The food was well-prepared, the service was outstanding, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere.

This place is truly a hidden gem! You access it through the antique mall. The prices are similar to other restaurants, but the portion sizes appear to be larger! I highly recommend browsing the mall, taking a break, and enjoying a meal here. They even offer homemade desserts and have a selection of beer and wine. View menu

I've been enjoying meals at this restaurant for years, and I truly adore it. The menu offers a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, a selection of main courses, and some inventive desserts. The Chipotle Chicken Caesar Salad is outstanding, and the Cuban sandwich is filling enough to satisfy even the heartiest appetite (I can attest to that!). After lunch, a leisurely walk around the antique market is a perfect way to unwind and ignite your curiosity. I'll definitely be back next week.

This charming little café is located within an antique shop. The service was outstanding; the staff answered all our questions with smiles and were always ready to help! We never found ourselves without a drink while enjoying our meal. However, the food was a bit outside our usual preferences. The café offers lunch from 11 AM to 4 PM and then serves desserts and beverages from 4 PM to 5 PM. Everything is homemade, and the desserts looked scrumptious! I would definitely return to try some cheesecake or other sweets.

"Had Foie Gras and Escargots for starters. Foie Gras was done to perfection with a little sweetness in the currant topping to blend wonderfully with the rich creaminess of the foie gras itself. The escargots were perfect. The light cream sauce with just the right whisper of garlic and fine strips of spinach richly supported the tender escargots. My entree was the bone in pork chop. It was superbly prepared, a nice light crispness on the outside and todiefor lush, tender, juicy meat on the inside. The apple compote accompaniment added a perfect sweet foil to the meaty toast of the chop.Perfectly done.Other entrees at the table included braised ox tail and the scallops. Both were expertly prepared. The ox tail was rich with a wonderful sauce that brought out the best of both meat and bone marrow, very satisfying. The white acre peas and fried shishito peppers that rounded out the dish were the right balance to the richness of the ox tail and were cooked to perfection. The scallops served atop creamed corn and english peas were also a delight. The scallops were good size, but extremely delicate and tender and the accompanying corn and peas outstanding. the pickled shallots were a real surprise adding a very inspired and charming savory element to the dish. Outstanding all around! While one might think it couldn't get better than this it did. Our service was provided by Beau, maybe BOW for his Bowtiewho was both our waiter and the sommelier for Matthews. His professional attentiveness and conversation was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone at the table. Bravo Beau!"

"Black Sheep is a great restaurant. The service is almost always excellent and this trip was no exception. Our waiter was great, personable and prompt. We had multiple happy hour cocktails which were of high quality and delivered quickly. The happy hour drinks are a great value. The Dusty Boot is my favorite and I hope it never leaves the menu. The food was good and tasty. The kitchen at Black Sheep is one of the best in Jacksonville. However the price for the food, even for the happy hour items, is getting out of hand. I have visited Black Sheep since they have opened. I’ve watched the pricing on the food increase over time and several items are now 30-50% higher than they were several years ago. Vegetable sides for dinner are now $7-8 dollars. A large salad is $14. These items used to be $5 and $10. The cheapest sliders for happy hour are $9. There is less meat on all three sliders combined than would be in a single small sandwich. The cheapest main for dinner is a $15 burger WITHOUT CHEESE. A slice of cheese is $1. One. Dollar. So $16 for a cheese burger and some shoestring fries. I know it’s grass fed beef but still! It’s obscene. If someone at Black Sheep is reading this, please, work on that menu and the pricing. You have slowly priced a loyal customer out of visiting your restaurant. You have good food but the value is no longer there. You have competition now, even in your own neighborhood. I love your restaurant and want you to win me back."
