The French fries were so soggy I couldn’t eat them. They tasted like they had been sitting out for a while.

What a great place! Burgers were amazing. Staff was friendly. Love the board that offers meals to those who can’t afford one! Kudos!

Only reason I'm giving four stars is because their ice cream machine was down and I couldn't try their milkshakes. Their burger meat is off the wall, nice and juicy!

We found Gene's quite by accident when driving through Wichita Falls. We don't consider ourselves food critics BUT we know a great burger when we get one. This is by far the juiciest and tastiest burger that we have eaten and we have eaten Blue Sky, Coyote Bluffs, Buffs in Canyon, Bob Cat Bites in Santa Fe etc! This is worth the weight/wait!!!!! My son and I decided to try Gene’s Tasty Burger for lunch. We both enjoyed our burgers. I had the small cheeseburger combo with fries. My son had the double cheeseburger combo with onion rings. The burgers were very good. The meat is thicker and very tasty. The onion rings were probably the best I have ever had. The fries were very good too. My son also ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. We both enjoyed the grilled cheese too. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend you try Gene’s if you have not been here.

The food was fast, made from scratch, delicious, and affordable. The interior has been scrubbed, painted, and new floors, looks very nice. Service? Well, you order your food at the counter, they take your name, then ring your order. The receipt has a place for a tip. I don't like to leave a tip before the service, but I did. They handed me my drink and told me to sit anywhere. They called my name, and I picked up my food at the counter. Later, I needed a drink refill, I went to the counter and got it. There are big trashcans with signs to not throw away the tray. I bussed my table and threw away my trash. So I'm not exactly sure what kind of service I tipped for. Again, the food was scratch...

Gene 's Tasty Burger, in Wichita Falls, TX, is a hidden gem. Located in an older neighborhood, the building is antiquated , yet well maintained and clean. The interior is classic Coke red, black, and white diner style decor. The tables are an aqua blue and neatly arranged and exceptionally clean. The friendly staff greeted us with a smile when we entered. Our food was made exactly as ordered hot and fresh. I had a small classic cheese burger and onion rings. The burger was juicy and tender, loaded with veggies. I selected onion rings as the side.
