"Gene 's Tasty Burger, in Wichita Falls, TX, is a hidden gem. Located in an older neighborhood, the building is antiquated , yet well maintained and clean. The interior is classic Coke red, black, and white diner style decor. The tables are an aqua blue and neatly arranged and exceptionally clean. The friendly staff greeted us with a smile when we entered. Our food was made exactly as ordered hot and fresh. I had a small classic cheese burger and onion rings. The burger was juicy and tender, loaded with veggies. I selected onion rings as the side. Wowsers, those were some were delicious, large onion rings battered perfectly, with a crispy, crunchy exterior, and tender onion interior. The onion rings were a generous helping, too! Side note: I noticed a cork board, next to the entrance and kia sign that read If you 're hungry and don 't have any money, these meals have been paid for. There were several receipts push pinned to the cork board. Now that 's community spirit! Superb! They serve breakfast, too. We 're gonna have to come back again soon.
