"The food was delicious! Besides Indian food, Ethiopian had the largest variety of vegetarian/vegan food. The variety is fantastic! The injera bread is delicious and so we're all the 8 sides put plate had. Absolutely fantastic, would come again."

The food is exceptionally delicious, skillfully seasoned, and provides a great variety of vegan options. The presentation of the dishes is breathtaking; I couldn't help but take a bite before snapping a photo. View menu

Food is wonderful best Ethiopian I've had in NYC. The food is 5 stars, but they get 4 because the service is very slow... and atmosphere could be more authentic (you don't sit or eat low to the floor here, for example). Still great food.

Full tables and very busy take out indicated promising food. It was excellent! The injera was perfect, the vegetarian selections and variety of Ethiopian dishes delicious. We have a new Brooklyn favorite. It is not a large restaurant yet.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
