"Golden lotus has become my go to pho place in sf. Prices are decent and the pho is pretty good. The one appetizer you HAVE to get is the banh cuon thit nuong, aka rice rolls with lemongrass pork. It's soo good I could eat just this. I get the beef ball pho and my boyfriend gets the pork imperial roll vermicelli bowl. The pho noodles are thicker than normal ones, but it's still really good. The broth is really light, sometimes a little too light but it's still worth coming back to. Service is always attentive and helpful. Always ask for the chili sauce and they'll give you their homemade chili sauce which is so good with their pho.Pro tip: ask for their chili sauce. They don't keep it on the tables so you have to ask for it. It's a lemongrass chili oil kind of sauce. So good!"

My favorite spot for pho that won't break the bank. I usually order the number 22 in a large size because the meat is flavorful and the noodles have a great texture. The broth is fantastic as well!

Just north of the Tenderloin, this is a cleaner place in the area. The raw beef pho I had was very nice; both the raw beef part pho part. The father is Cantonese, mother is Vietnamese and the son only speaks Vietnamese and English.

This is a charming, local pho spot with fantastic soup broth! The staff are incredibly friendly. I tried the thick rice noodles, but they were a bit too soft for my liking, so I would recommend opting for the regular thin noodles instead. View menu

The poor customer service here speaks volumes. For a restaurant that is supposed to provide customer service, it's outrageous that they can't manage even basic operational tasks. They create a misleading impression, and I definitely do not recommend PHO 2000.

Four and a half stars. Impeccable service and friendly owner! This time around I had the chicken pho and it was such a nice choice on this cold and rainy day. The food comes out quickly and hot and delicious. My favorite is the appetizer #3. It's a delicious roll made of fun (like as in chow fun) with lettuce and pork and it's just absolute delicious. It's topped with fried onions View menu

My boyfriend and I love this Vietnamese place when we 're in the city. The first time we went, I was going to order egg rolls because we were craving them, but the waiter very forcefully said, No, you don 't want that. You want banh cuon thit nuong and gestured to a post on the wall which indicated it was an award winning dish.He was right. It was amazing. Now we go to this place whenever we 're in the area to order that specific dish.Go here! Great staff, atmosphere, and food.

My partner and I had lunch at this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. The food was amazing! We shared the imperial rolls, which were large and delicious—definitely something we would order again. My partner had a generous bowl of bun bo hue, while I opted for the barbecue pork vermicelli bowl. Both dishes were absolutely fantastic, and the portions were so big that we even had leftovers! I just wish we lived in San Francisco so we could visit Golden Lotus more often. I highly, highly recommend this place!

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
