"Hai Ky Mi Gia is a hidden gem in the Tenderloin district that serves authentic and delicious Chinese and Vietnamese noodles. The restaurant is small and cozy, with friendly staff and fast service. The menu offers a variety of noodle soups, dry noodles, and rice dishes, as well as some appetizers and beverages. I ordered the braised duck leg noodle soup with thick egg noodles, which was a generous portion of tender and flavorful duck meat, fresh vegetables, and chewy noodles in a rich and savory broth. The soup was hearty and satisfying, perfect for a cold day. The noodles were cooked just right, not too soft or too hard. The duck leg was easy to peel off the bone, and the skin was crispy and tasty. The broth had a nice balance of saltiness, sweetness, and spiciness, and I enjoyed adding some vinegar and chili sauce for extra kick. The station also had some condiments, such as soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sriracha sauce, that you can use to customize your dish. The price was very reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of the food. The restaurant accepts cash and credit cards, and there is a tip jar at the counter. Overall, I had a great experience at Hai Ky Mi Gia, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves noodles and duck. It is one of the best places to eat in San Francisco, especially if you are looking for authentic and affordable Asian cuisine. The restaurant is located at 707 Ellis St, San Francisco."

The best Chinese noodle house in California! Everything is made from scratch.

Superb noodles, an SF experience. Sad the city is letting this cultural district be overrun.

The best chiu chow noodle place in San Francisco! I like to get the combination wonton noodle soup or the braised duck leg noodle soup with thick egg noodles. Always great to eat on a cold rainy day or if I’m hungover haha. View menu

Great food that was served quickly. The meat of the braised duck leg was flavourful and fell off the bone. The soup was soothing on a cold winter morning. Only drawback was the neighbourhood it was in. Recommended to drive there.

The braised duck leg wonton noodle soup was delicious and the portion size was generous. The fresh soy milk was enjoyable as well—not overly sweet, although it was a bit on the smaller side. The owner was very friendly. I just wish they would stay open a little later.

The food was fantastic! The braised duck leg egg noodle soup was truly delicious. Even my husband, who usually isn't a fan of soup, said he could see himself eating here once a week. However, if you're a tourist, just be aware that this restaurant is located in a less desirable neighborhood, so pay attention to your surroundings. View menu

The food is pretty good. Tried the Nam Vang dry noodles. You will need to make your own sauce though, I was expecting a restaurant-made sauce for the dry noodles (as the sauce is like the soul of the dish) but there was not. Overall experience here was okay. The staff was nice and friendly. Recommend to go here by your own car/ taxi/ uber… the neighborhood was a bit run down so it might be scary for tourists.

Every soup is great. The dry combination noodles with a side of pork broth are a highlight. Toss noodles with vinegar, soy, and chili paste. These are some of the nicest people in town. Everyone here has worked here forever. Thus, the food and experience are consistently familiar and comforting Even if you are not familiar with Chinese noodle soups, just stop in and explore the flavors. Try the fresh warm soy milk. This is the pinnacle of noodle soup places in San Francisco.

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
