"When we arrived at our reserved time, the staff was rushing around to get the final preparations done with no one really ready. No one greeted the guests waiting for at least 15 mins. The ambiance with the tables of food was nothing special even though it was a holiday. It wasn’t clear that not only was it a minimal choice buffet but also there was a main course offered after we made our choices at the buffet, which then made it too much food. The eggs, sausage and pastries were super average more in line with a hotel that offers continental breakfast. Servers were sparse and our waiter was pulled to go work in the bar. Very very disappointing and way too much money per person for the quality. We’ve always loved doing the holiday buffets with the Sheraton. I doubt we will come back."

The restaurant has made the most of what they have, but they are definitely understaffed.

The service was awful. The food was tasteless. The furniture was all worn out. I would have expected better quality for the price and the establishment.

everything went well, and eating was quite good, but the additional side that we ordered was cold and has not tasted much we enjoyed all over the day and will gladly come back. View menu

We had breakfast at this restaurant and enjoyed the delicious corn flakes. The scrambled eggs were average, but the breakfast burrito lacked spice. Overall, it was a good meal. The service was excellent and the view of the harbor was beautiful.

Great breakfast with great views of the marina. A little understaffed though. I substituted meat for fruit with the Chino Valley dish. Almond milk was available for my coffee, and I was offered a cup to go. Waitstaff is great, hostess not so much.

The quality of the brunch meal was totally below par; the food was not even warm. I would not recommend anyone to purchase the brunch. A person would better enjoy a $14.00 per person meal at a local diner, rather than going to the Sheraton’s brunch. I would never return here for brunch! View menu

Our group of 11 attended a conference at the Sheraton and had a limited hour and a half for dinner. The restaurant staff provided exceptional service within the time frame. The food and wine were scrumptious, and Marco was an outstanding server. Thank you for a fantastic dining experience.

We unfortunately went there for Christmas dinner and it was pretty bad. They had a fixed price of 75$ for 3 courses, and all three entree. Choices were not good. We had a party of 4 plus kids and no one liked their entree. The salad and soup entree was good, but main course and dessert were very subpar. The cost for what we got was outrageous.

"I adore this restaurant. Golden Hill is filled with many many quality eateries, and Counterpoint anchors the neighborhood with it's fun atmosphere and dedication to quality. They recently renovated and the new space is open, airy and provides a variety of seating options: bar seating, restaurant seating, and upper balcony (I use this as a quiet place to WFH during the week), and an outdoor patio. I'm partial to the biscuit and gravy for breakfast, but the brined chicken and waffles or breakfast hash always makes me smile and sends me unto the world with a better outlook on life and a doggie bag. When it's hot, delicious crunchy salads are on the lunch menu and the craft beers and unique slushy flavors change. Counterpoint takes the quality of food and libations seriously. The craft cocktails rotate as the bartenders are encouraged to explore and grow. The owner and team are always warm, welcoming and make sure you have a good experience. Did I mention they are DOG friendly? Definitely worth the trip up the hill from downtown if you're looking to wind down after an event or precharge and eat before a baseball game. I love to bring my friends for a snack (try the olive selection) and chat on a twilight night. Space heaters outside if you get cold. Fans inside if you get warm. Honestly if you live in or are visiting the 92102 area code you should go to Counterpoint: good food, really good cocktails, and great company. It is clear that this establishment cares about quality, cares about your comfort and loves if you have a good time."
