The vegetarian sandwich "Beet Me Up Scotty" was fantastic! I can't wait to return and try more menu items. The customer service was excellent as well!

Located in a hidden alley of Kakaako redevelopment this is a destination lunch spot. Great Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. And, the ultimate measure of any sandwich shop excellent French fries yum!

I had a delicious sandwich on incredibly fresh bread, but the highlight of my lunch was definitely the perfectly crunchy shoestring truffle parmesan fries. I could enjoy those every day! The staff was also very friendly. View menu

The owner or manager is incredibly disrespectful to non-Asian customers and behaves unprofessionally towards her own employees. She really needs to improve her customer service skills, especially in a diverse place like Hawaii. It's astonishing how unaware she seems. A cultural diversity training would be beneficial for her, without a doubt!

This place really does itself a disservice in marketing. It's in a side alley entrance to some other shops so not easily found. The restaurant evokes memories of going to an upmarket bistro in New York especially with the background jazz music. The food however is like eating the most high end subs you're likely to come across sufficient to share between two as well as being cheap. The meatballs in the sub are an appetizer on it's own.

I had an absolutely satisfying and delicious sandwich for lunch! I ordered the Fowl Play, while my lunch companion had the Salo sandwich. The Fowl Play featured chicken and bacon bursting with flavor, topped with a delicious ranch salad. The Salo had a bit of saltiness, but the combination of ham and Brie was truly wonderful. They really focus on creating unique sandwiches with interesting flavors. Additionally, the truffle fries were fantastic; they were fresh, warm, and packed with a rich truffle and Parmesan flavor. Shorty's rib sandwich Truffle Fries Chocolate chip cookie The short ribs were tender and flavorful. The fries were cheesy garlic heaven. I think the cookie may be my favorite chocolate chip cookie. The added sea salt just puts it over the top. Owner was very personable. Good vibes from employees as well. Outdoor seating available. Would definitely recommend HiCraft. I think 1st hour of parking is free with validation and 2nd hour is only 1. Would definitely call to double check the parking situation b/c parking can be tricky. There are metered stalls that have a 2 hour limit/coin meters .25 for 10 minutes... 3.00 for 2 hours).

It seemed like it would have been possible to accommodate us based on what we wanted to order, or perhaps offer us a coupon for our next visit, given the situation. I understand that letting one person in could set a precedent, making it tricky to keep things fair. Although I don’t look Japanese, I speak fluent Japanese, and the two people ahead of us were conversing in Japanese with the staff, who responded in kind. I overheard the woman commenting to her friend, seemingly impressed, about how frequently they must visit. As I approached, I knew I had arrived because their front door is covered in images of their menu items, which made it a little difficult to stick to my decision. I walked past that temptation and approached the counter, where I was warmly greeted and given the rundown on the Fish of the Day and The Stack. With a dental appointment looming, I couldn’t waste time and quickly ordered something I’ve had my eye on: The Italian Job. What a fun name!
