"Ordered take out and I got like five small pieces of chicken in my box. Then I ordered the Crab Rangoon. Could not eat even a stomach one because as soon as I bit it… I was nauseous. Very rubbery and seemed like they were frozen before they were fried. Couldn’t stomach eating more than a bite. It’s just not alright to sell something like that. Also got my cousin some sweet and sour chicken, she also received like 5 small fried bits in her box. I paid almost $40 for 10 nuggets basically. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with this restaurant, especially cause it was so close to five stars… idk I really expected more."

We've been visiting Hong Huah since the 1980s. The food is always delicious, and the service is excellent!

I can't recommend this place enough. The food is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. Plus, finding parking is actually possible—quite a rarity in Chicago!

This restaurant is a beloved staple in the neighborhood. I've experienced fantastic service here since I first visited in the 90s. It’s a wonderful spot for both lunch and dinner, with great people and amazing food that bursts with flavor. This place has a legendary status and is, in my opinion, one of the best in the city—definitely in my top three. View menu

A very underrated restaurant. I absolutely adore the friendly and attentive service both times that I visited here. The food is homestyle, not overly greasy or heavy like what you’d typically have at a Chinese restaurant. For my taste, the food has been consistently solid. One of the dishes that you can “test” the restaurant is Peking duck. Having had the dish before in Beijing, I can say that their rendition is excellent and authentic. Highly recommended.

Great neighborhood Chinese food which is a rarity nowadays. I ordered the orange chicken and pot stickers , both items came out fresh and really good. I can see why this spot has been in business sense the 80s. I'll definitely be back to try some other items and to get some more orange chicken. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star was due to the hot oil which tasted old and stale with no flavor and the atmosphere could definitely use a modern upgrade, it def feels stuck in the 90s which I assume could be nostalgic for a lot of the regulars

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
