"Ichiban offers a wide selection of delicious sushi rolls, as well as a variety of fully-cooked options for those who prefer not to have sushi or raw fish. The owners run the restaurant and treat every customer—whether it's their first visit or not—as if they're long-time friends. They’ve known our son his whole life, and we've shared family updates over the years. They always ask about my family when I visit without them. The many Christmas photo cards on display, showcasing families who have formed similar bonds with them, are a testament to this warm atmosphere. The restaurant has managed to stay strong both during and after the pandemic, and even though we've moved closer to the Tigard side of Beaverton, we still make the trip to enjoy their food. I may or may not be guilty of ordering way more rolls than I can realistically eat in one sitting—just so I have leftovers for later! *As a heads-up: their spicy sushi is not for the faint-hearted; I’m pretty sure there’s no mayo mixed in with the Sriracha! Definitely give them a try! Parking: There’s plenty of parking available."

I have tried this place several times and I am real happy with it. High quality sushi at a reasonable price for the area. The portions a little on the small side but overall still a reasonable value. Favorites are the Tiger and Salmon skin roll. A go back place.

First place I ate sushi when I was a kid. The Chef’s wife/ owner taught me how to use chopsticks when I was a little girl. I’ve had sushi all over the country and theirs is always the best. They have known our family and we’ve been eating here for more than 20 years. I live out of state now and I always visit Ichiban when I come back home because it’s THAT good!
