"I visited the drive-thru for this review, which is not my usual choice, but I was pressed for time. I ordered a dark chicken dinner along with a pecan pie. The wait was quick, and my order was accurate. The chicken was tasty, featuring a crispy crust and plenty of juiciness. The sides—coleslaw and mashed potatoes with gravy—were both flavorful and enjoyable. The pecan pie, rich and sweet, was a delightful finish. While the overall meal was good, it didn't particularly stand out compared to other chicken spots. I felt the price was slightly high for what I received, but it wasn't enough to disappoint me. I would recommend this place and might return, though it won’t become a regular stop for me."

The restaurant is closed for good. The interior has been stripped, and a notice on the door states that it will reopen under a new name and ownership.

Great chicken and sides! Definitely something different and better than KFC and Church's. Staff is friendly and food is piping hot! Give this place a try!

Employees are very kind ! Someone always asking how everything is and if you need anything. . Very clean. A little pricey but enjoyed the Chicken and there dipping sauces and a huge fan of there sweet tea and cole slaw.

Good chicken. We bought the 'Chicken Coop ' family pack. There was enough chicken for 8 people, enough sides for 6 people, but only enough gravy for one person. The chicken was crispy and yummy. The chicken breast pieces were huge. Very clean restaurant, friendly staff, fast service. Total price $45 View menu

This charming little chicken restaurant, owned by the Swadley family, is situated in Nicoma Park. We ordered sides of mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese, along with a three-piece chicken meal. The food was tasty, but the service was exceptional! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They had some tempting chocolate and strawberry cake that looked delicious; however, we didn't indulge this time—maybe next visit!

Same Jim's, new look. The wow factor is definitely here. I walked in and just gazed and the huge transformation and I'm impressed. Next question was the food, was it the same quality and it is, great! A family member of Jim's still works there so it's still home. My son used to work there in his high school years and I can't wait to bring him back here to show him the change. Glad they kept the gizzards and livers on the menu.

First of all, an apology to my readers.  I got off track with my restaurant reviews a year and a half ago.  Since then, Urbanspoon was eaten by Zomato, and I think I have been to over 100 new restaurants in that time, some of them very good and worthy of a review.  I will try to get to those over the next couple months.  Regardless, I will do a better job of keeping up with new places in the meantime.  This is the start of that effort. We've returned multiple times since the renovations, and the 'new' Jim's, now owned by the Swadleys, is even better than before. The chicken is cooked to perfection, with larger portions, and the addition of several new sides is impressive. The expanded indoor seating area is very pleasant. I truly hope this place remains in business for many years to come. Our family of four typically spends around $50, and we almost always end up bringing food home. It's fantastic!

Oh, yeah!. I visited Jim 's several days ago for the first time. I can 't compare the 'new ' Jim 's to the 'old ' Jim 's, but I can tell you that I was very pleased. This is a nice, clean, comfortable restaurant. I tried the chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and corn. A small order of tenders was nearly more than I could eat and the flavor was excellent. The tenders were cooked perfectly and the batter was tasty. I 've been craving the flavor again and will be returning soon.

"We ate here during the Paseo Arts Festival. We initially tried to make a reservation using Open Table, but someone from the restaurant called me a few days later to inform me that Picasso Cafe was not taking reservations during the Arts Festival. We arrived at 12:15 pm and put in our names. Our party was called just before 1:00 pm. Fortunately, we had the Arts Festival to keep us busy while we waited. I ordered the chicken and avocado sandwich. It sounded good in the menu description -- seared chicken breast, avocado slices, swiss cheese, bacon, and bourbon honey mustard. However, I ordered it without the cheese because I have been to too many places where they do not know how to melt cheese on grilled sandwiches and I don't want to be a picky customer on my second visit to a restaurant. Anyway, it was difficult to hold the sandwich together. I ended up taking the avocado slices off of it so that there was enough friction for me to hold it together and eat it. The seared chicken breast was the best part, closely followed by complimentary lettuce and tomato (crisp and cold) and the honey mustard (good mix of sweet and tangy). I ordered the napa cabbage slaw for my side dish. It was served with a light dressing so that the cabbage stood out. This is not a slaw for people who prefer not to taste the cabbage. I would like to come back and try some more things. However, if I have the chicken sandwich again, I am going to leave out both the swiss cheese and the avocado. I would also like to see if they have a wheat bun because that would pair better with this mix of flavors and textures."
