"I occasionally order the bulgogi and spicy pork and the taste has gone down. Sometimes it has a funny taste to it and or isn’t the same from the last as if they have a new chef who adds too much of a certain ingredient and it overpowers the whole dish. Idk but my family has came here for years mostly take-out and the taste has changed and smaller portions. Everytime I have ordered within 2023 something was off or missing my extra rice I paid for. Discouraging especially when your spending atleast $50"

I came out of that dinner smelling like Korean barbecue! We were attending a convention nearby, and it was my first time dining at that restaurant. The...

The meat marinades are consistently spot on, and the service is fast. While dining solo or with one other person can be pricey, it becomes much more affordable when you go with a group and share the bill.

I’m giving one star for the charcoal grill. However, the rest of our experience wasn’t great. We ordered BBQ and another dish, but the egg that came with it was undercooked and sitting in water. As for the doenjang jjigae, it was... View menu

My food was ready pretty quickly. I ordered pork dumplings and moved them. Parking was hard to find. There is paid street parking on that very street but most spots were taken. The place was not too crowded but I had to signal waiters to get their attention.

Everything was really good overall, but the service was a bit slow on the day I visited. It took a while for us to receive our menus and drinks, and our appetizer arrived somewhat cold. On the plus side, they have karaoke rooms and a bar available upstairs. The staff was very friendly.

Slightly sketchy area, (and I say that from living in a 2 mile radius from this place for the last 8 years. Besides that, the food was amazing. Went with a half bbq #3 for 2 people. The amount of meat and 11 types of sides, soup and boiled egg just absolutely stuffed us both and it was pretty damn delicious to! View menu

The food remains delicious, but I recently visited and found the service to be extremely slow. We waited more than 30 minutes before anyone took our orders, and we struggled to get refills on water throughout our meal. There's a card on the table suggesting that customers should take more responsibility for their cooking, but the server mentioned that they would handle the cooking, which created a confusing and awkward situation.

Whenever I am in Baltimore, I eat here. My then-boyfriend-now-hubby found this place for our first day trip to Baltimore, and we went at least 6 times in the last 2 years. It is so far the only place in the DMV area we know that uses actual coal to grill your meat. And omg, they always make it perfect! For Korean dishes, they are also pretty authentic as well. The area around it may not be the best, but for the quality and taste of the food that these guys provide, we keep on returning.

"Highly recommend Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen! The food is served fresh and hot. We were a party of eight and ordered Fried Whiting with Yams and Mac n Cheese, Chicken and Waffles, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders, Fried Shrimp, French Fries, and Collard Greens. The Sweet Potato Waffles were absolutely delicious! The fried chicken, shrimp, and fish were cooked perfectly and tasted as good as they looked. The seasoning was just right—not too salty, allowing the flavors to shine. The yams and collards were a real treat for the taste buds. And the cornbread? Simply amazing. My only disappointment was that the first taste was free (haha). The Mac n Cheese was decent, but the Chicken Tenders didn’t quite live up to their name; however, they did remake them for us to take home. The space is small and simple, with old-school music that adds to the enjoyable dining experience. They limit dining to one hour to ensure everyone can enjoy the food, which I appreciate—I dislike when people linger for too long when others are waiting. The staff were friendly, making us feel valued and appreciated. Prices are reasonable. One downside was that many items were unavailable, including grits—which was a big letdown since I was looking forward to the famous Shrimp and Grits—as well as butter, potato salad, seafood salad, and tartar sauce. I recommend calling ahead if you’re craving a specific dish. Despite this, it was a great dining choice and lived up to the positive reviews. Overall, we left satisfied and would gladly return. Parking is street parking only, as there’s no dedicated lot."
