"The Kempton Hotel Restaurant was a completely awesome experience! The small town atmosphere of the restaurant and bar was really cool and we are already planning a trip back to Kempton for the 150 year celebration. Once we ordered our food in the restaurant, we walked through the bar area to look at the painted mural on the ceiling. Local and American history scenes cover the entire ceiling. After chatting with a couple of the locals, we sat down and ate our meal. Really loved the cheese fries with cheddar and bacon. Also enjoyed the pork and sauerkraut, a Pennsylvania Dutch favorite. Exceptional food for a great price. Our waitress was professional, friendly and told us a little about the history of the hotel. What a great place just a short drive from Kutztown University."

Our family just enjoyed the Easter dinner at Kempton Hotel. The food was delicious and plentiful, service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. We'll definitely be back!

Love old hotels for the charm. The service was okay but the food lacked flavor. Turkey was dry, very little gravy and meatloaf was also dry could have used some gravy as well. We would try again but maybe pub food rather than dinner. View menu

This place is so fun! Great to hit this place after a hike at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. Carolyn, the bartender was awesome! Perogies were not good at all…no finesse! Great murals and apparently Willie Nelson was here is 1984, he is depicted on the ceiling mural kinda cool??

This restaurant is a gem. Very tasty meal and excellent service. You can get a fancy meal in a warm, comfortable environment. We enjoyed the Valentines special menu. The flavors exceeded our expectations. First time having a Valentine in ages. We will share many more meals here.

The bar at Kempton Hotel was one of our favorite stops on our road trip from San Diego, CA, to Calais, Maine. The service was excellent, and they all made us feel welcome. The food was delicious BBQ pork fries, Dutch fries, and steamed clams. Best of all, the patrons were a fun crowd. If you are in the area, I highly recommend you visit them. View menu

Not sure if they were just short staffed but it took the wait staff forever but no apologies just kind of avoided us. We never ended up ordering rest of our meal because appetizers took to long and not the tastiest. Unfortunately I don't know that we'll be back. Maybe we'll try it for lunch sometime. But this first impression wasn't the best.

This restaurant was fantastic! We decided to stop by on a whim after our train ride just around the corner, and they quickly seated our group of 4 adults and 6 kids. The waitress was incredibly patient with us. I highly recommend the Kempton cheesesteak with fries—it's delicious! My daughter ordered the kids' chicken tenders, and they were hand-breaded with excellent flavor. We also took home some loaded fries and garlic parmesan wings, and everything was exceptional.
