"This place is a taste of home. I have lived as far out as Fenton and House Springs, yet have still been known to drive here for any fish or chicken I want to pick up for dinner. Always the kindest staff who great and treat you as family. A warm atmosphere that is inviting to all.Kid-friendliness: Not too many kid meal options, but easily remedied by the a la carte menu.Parking: Plenty of parking, clean lot, no potholes"

Simple throwback style restaurant with my favorite kind of fried chicken. During Mardi Gras they're known for serving fresh beignets, but you can't go wrong year round. for having fried okra!

So, besides the fact that this is THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN EVER, the service here is also amazing. They're very friendly, even on the phone that never stops ringing. But hey, when you got good food, you're gonna be busy. View menu

Called at 11:30am for a 64 piece order of chicken to be ready at 4:30pm hoping they would be able to help...and they did! You can't find that type of service a lot of places in our current economic environment. Maggie gave me 5 star service over the phone too. Way to go King Eds!

sometimes I forget how tasty everything is here. waiting is useful for freshly cooked food and the prices are great! I had a puppy sandwich with jalapeño hush puppy and fried okra. If nowadays it is so hard to find good service and good food, I am glad that this local facility is still at the point. View menu

I love pulling up to what looks like an Old IHOP located in between car repair shops and walking in to see there is only one table open. Then I know I've struck gold. I just loved the fried chicken here. It went greasy and the coating had a great taste. I also had baked beans and hush puppies too. Both were great. My wife had the fried cod and it took 15 minutes to cook. I would definitely eat here again.

"The service is quick, accommodating the large flow of people dining in and taking out during lunch. The menu is straightforward and easy to navigate. The hush puppies and fried corn are incredible sides, embodying a comforting homemade feel. The fried chicken and fish are exceptional as well. The staff is friendly, and there's often great music playing, creating a warm atmosphere at this hidden gem on Watson."

"We came here last night to celebrate my birthday. When my husband made the reservation he also mentioned that. When we were seated, the gentleman who was filling water came over right away. To be honest, the guys coming around filling water glasses and bringing the bread were the best part of our experience. They were kind, courteous and friendly. When our server got to our table, that was a different story. Our server did not so much as give a greeting or anything. He came up to the table and just said What are you drinking? And that was it. No greeting, no introducing himself. I have no idea what his name even was. Once we got our drinks he just ask, what are you having? We had to ask what the specials were that evening, it was not something that we would have been told unless we asked. I had the lobster bisque, which was just ok. I also had a piece of lobster shell in my soup which wasn 't pleasant. There was very little lobster in the bowl. It certainly wasn 't worth $14. My husband and I both had the filet porcini. The filet was good, the sauce was ok didn 't taste like a 'fine dining ' type of dish. We both had the pasta with garlic and oil for the side. The garlic tasted like it was raw it was so strong. Throughout the meal I felt like our table was a bother to our server because we weren 't one of his regular tables. He was chit chatting with his other tables, but barely spoke with us at all. When it came to dessert, my husband mentioned that it was my birthday. I said I was too full to have anything there, but I asked for a piece of tirimisu to go. He then asked if I 'd like complimentary gelato for my birthday. I got amaretto and my husband got chocolate. The amaretto gelato was fantastic! I was sad I was so full and could only have a few bites. The gelato was my favorite part of my meal. My photos I 've attached were of the tirimisu. It was an extremely small piece for it being $9. It was good, but way over priced. My husband and I had dined at Roberto 's a few years ago for my husband 's birthday and we had a fantastic experience. We had high hopes to celebrate my birthday, but ended up having such a disappointing night. Everything was overpriced and the service was subpar, and the food was nothing special. After this experience, I doubt we will take the gamble on spending that much money to possibly have another bad experience."
