"Despite my frustrations, I was eager to try their food, especially the J Chicken General Tso, which looks amazing on Instagram. I went inside to place my order and waited another 10 minutes before anyone took it. The atmosphere was chaotic, with many people waiting for their orders and others trying to place theirs. Eventually, I placed my order but had to wait an additional 15 minutes to receive it. When I finally got my three platters, I checked them over. One of them was the J Chicken, a personal favorite. To my disappointment, there was no J sauce on the chicken or the rice and peas. I asked the young lady at the counter for some J sauce to be added. She grabbed the bottle but it only had a few drops left. She attempted to close the lid on my platter, which left me bewildered. I couldn't believe she wasn't going to add more sauce! After filling the bottle, she returned to the counter; I opened my lid, expecting her to pour sauce over everything. Instead, she pulled out a small ramekin and squirted some sauce into it. I was stunned—having just purchased three large platters and not receiving enough sauce to cover my food was very frustrating. When I asked about getting more J sauce, I was told I would have to pay extra for it. I couldn’t understand why I'd need to pay for extra sauce when there hadn’t been any to begin with. I've never encountered a Jamaican restaurant that served their food without J sauce; it's an essential part of the meal. To avoid further frustration, I took my three large platters and left. On a positive note, the food was quite good. However, if you're planning to visit this place, I recommend placing your order well in advance, as some dishes are made to order and can take 35-50 minutes. Although I really wanted to try the J Chicken General Tso, I don’t think I’ll be returning, which is disappointing. In conclusion, the food was good, but the customer service really detracted from the experience. The following dishes were ordered: 1. J Chicken, Greens, Yams 2. Curry Chicken, Cabbage, Rice and Peas 3. Stewed Chicken, Greens, Yams."

I recommend ordering ahead if you can because there's a wait. The food, however, was delicious. It looks the same in person as it does on their social media.Food: 5/5

Great amazing food just have to get there early; food tends to run out fast. Not your typical Jamaican spot it serves unique dishes that tastes awesome compared to others. Service was great for me but watched others complain about mix ups because of late arrivals... Ps. Must come in early.....?Food: 5/5 View menu

I’ve been following them on instagram for a hot minute! I’m so glad I finally went. The energy in there was so welcoming and the playlist was jamming. As far as the food it was excellent so bomb. The spices are on point and the Mac and cheese is pull apart melted. The food had to be made with love!! Mhmmm I’m for sure going back!Food: 5/5

It was already people waiting. I ordered food, and it took about 45-50 minutes to be done. BUT BABBBBY This food is worth the wait price and drive! I'll be back for all the other stuff on the menu!!

I experienced a two-hour wait and paid $35 for the J Fry General Tso with white rice, which I found to be outrageous. It was a one-time experience for me, but feel free to try it out for yourselves. I didn't really notice much flavor in the General Tso, but the Asian fusion aspect was definitely present and it tasted good overall. I also ordered the curry goat (medium/$16), which was quite tasty; the meat was tender and packed with flavor. However, the yams had far too much cinnamon for my liking.

Thinking I’d give it another shot, I ordered the Honey Glazed Salmon Rasta Pasta and a side of macaroni and cheese yesterday. Unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The pasta was overwhelmingly spicy, as if someone had dumped a jar of extra spicy jerk seasoning into Alfredo sauce and topped it with some cheese. The salmon was completely unseasoned. I was so frustrated, I felt like screaming, especially since they have a no refund policy and I had just spent $37 on a dish that was essentially inedible. As for the macaroni, it was just greasy and cheesy without any real flavor. I recommend looking elsewhere because this place is overrated. I waited over 40 minutes only to be disappointed by b...

"Fantastic neighborhood gem. Food was flavorful, cozy, inviting, and fun. Not fussy or arrogant, but cooked with love, execution, and straight from the heart. My favorite was the Burrata dish, a cold cheese dish with the seductively sumptuous balsamic glaze and the best thinsliced prosciutto I ever had thankfully not too salty as it was packed with flavor. The bread was fantastic for mopping up the rich tomato based seafood app.My wife and I loved the seafood spaghetti dish, although the dark brown think buckwheat spaghetti surprised us at first. The rich white wine broth and clams were fantastic, but the noodles were perplexing and intriguing and fantastic!. The whole wheat made it seem like it might be tough but it was smooth and chewy, while still hearty. And yet it almost felt too soft and about melt, although there was a firm elasticity to it! The scallops risotto was rich and decadent. Temp was good. The service was good, the outdoor ambience was wonderful, the napkin's bluegray hue resonated with my wife, and the plates were gorgeous.Overall, it was excellent and worthy of going back and recommending to friends and family. The meal may not have been technically flawless the delicious octopus could stand to be grilled or cooked a tad longer, but it was still perfectly authentic, heartfelt, and admirably executed. It straddled the fine line between elevatedelegant and homey. It accomplished what it set out to do and delivered on what one would expect! We live outside the city, so we won't be able to visit often, which may be good, because this is such a fine neighborhood establishment—if I lived nearby, I'd definitely be in danger of blowing my monthly dining budget"
