"For those who still doubt the capability of women being chefs or that there couldn't be more than one in a kitchen, the live performance here would change anyone's mind. Watching four women of different generations on a very busy Saturday night working together seamlessly, having fun, and providing food you can taste the history and love of their ancestors' creations passed down was uplifting and affirming as a chef who also happens to be female. Delicioso!! Authentic Oaxacan/Mexican food. We had Chile relleno tacos de Camaron. Both amazing! Very decent portion but full of flavor. I will definitely come back to try other dishes.

Came here on recommendation from a store owner on Ballard Street. So glad we did! Delicious food, tasty options for Vegetarians/Vegans, fresh ingredients, and great service. Would definitely recommend stopping in any time of day!

This place is very easy to miss. The food here is good but I took 1 star off for the customer service. They got my friend the wrong order, and instead of changing it right away, they sent two different people to serve the same dish. It took us three servers to get the correct dish. View menu

The food here was pretty good. We tried the guac and chips, lamb birria, chicken mole, and tacos al pastor. My favorite dish was the tacos but everything was pretty good. I feel they give too many chips for the amount of guac though. The tacos, mole, and lamb were all a bit sweet which I liked, but it seems some people don't enjoy that. Overall I might come back again for the pork tacos.

La Carta de Oaxaca is a Mexocan food restaurant in the heart of Ballard Ave section of things. It's known for its authentic taste, good size plates and fresh tortilla chips. They make their sauces and salsas which are always delicious. Their menu is a good size and do they everything right. Service here is always grget, very friendly, pretty quick and prices per portion are amazing. Would definitely recommend coming here for a good Mexican food meal and drink.
