"I would love to give a higher rating, but after my first experience at this shop, I can't. I’ve visited this place several times without making a purchase—until today. I decided to try the grilled cheese sandwich of the day and eagerly brought it back to my office to enjoy. The wait was reasonable, and the sandwich was tasty, but as I started to munch on the kettle chips, I noticed something stringy in my mouth. Fearing the worst, like a fallen hair, I pulled it out and found it was a thread. While I was relieved it wasn’t hair, I was still unsettled that it was something inedible. I ate the salad with caution after that. I considered going back to the cashier, but since it didn’t really affect the sandwich itself, I opted not to. At this point, I'm unsure if I’ll return. I think I need some time to let this settle before considering a second visit. If it weren’t for the thread, I would have rated it a 5."

Vegetarian sandwiches can be a bit unpredictable, but this one was absolutely amazing! The bread, the cheese, and the arugula all came together perfectly. I loved it!

Toulouse Sandwich is highly recommended! I forgot to lay vegetables? Had a friend worked in different places and she made me better than this, but it wasn't bad here!

I'm so glad they're back! I had a feeling this place would be good, and I was pleasantly surprised to see them open again today. The salad is still top-notch, making it an excellent lunch option. View menu

The pig duck sandwich is like nothing I had before. I think coming here and ordering a regular Deli sandwich is a mistake. Enjoy a delicious sweet and fat fig duck sandwich. Goodness between two slices of bread.

The vegetarian Provencal sandwich was a bit dry, and the cheese flavor was overly strong. However, the arugula salad was delightful thanks to the dressing. The chocolate-dipped Madeleines were soft and delicious as well.

Best cheese shop ever!I came across La Fromagerie on my last day in SF when I say it was a life changing grilled cheese I mean it. I'm not even upset my flight home was cancelled as it gave me an opportunity for round 2. Thanks so much!!! View menu

It’s a typical shop for white collar workers, but one I really enjoyed. You can get some nice sandwiches there. My favorite one, and a clear recommendation to anyone, is TOULOUSE with duck breast and fig jam. PARISIEN with aged cheese was a bit too dry because of the bread. The ITALIEN was good. And try the grilled cheese some time.

The sandwiches were quite dry and very under filled probably 90% bread . I ordered the Toulouse. Was expecting a nice sandwich, wet with olive oil, and lathered with a thick fig spread as the pictures suggest and stuffed with succulent duck breast...received two big pieces of white bread ? and a couple slices of duck and olive oil on the bread ? and the tiniest bit of fig spread... Pretty disappointing. Service was fast and the people were nice though.

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
