"We both ordered the special, which was prime rib. It was tasty, but slightly undercooked. The accompanying salad was just iceberg lettuce, a bit lackluster. I tried the special vinaigrette, which I found too sweet and heavy. The server offered to replace it, but then disappeared before I could ask. The prices were fair, but there were limited options for beverages. Despite some flaws, we would consider returning for the prime rib if we were in the area."

this is a great place to eat. they make their food fresh, instead of using prefabricated frozen food. the salads are fresh and serve the most exquisite brot. the service is excellent and the hotel has so much history. they also have lunch in the hotel library. this is by far the best restaurant in walsenburg, colorado!

I had the special vinegrette that was not important to me, it was sweet and rather stuffed. she had offered to exchange it if I didn't like it, but then immediately disappeared. the taxi was reasonable, but we didn't have a choice at brands. in total we would return for the main rib if in the opposite.
