"First time going back in about 2-3 years (didn't like my first experience). This time was alot better. Alot of fried seafood options. Beware- they do not devein their shrimp, so if that bothers you, I suggest ordering something withoutshrimp. Location: right off the main highway, next to burger King. Large parking lot. Atmosphere: spacious, smells good, cajunmusic playing. Seemed clean. It used to be a Ryan's so it has a similar layout. Table seating and bar seating. Good for casualfamily dinner, date, or friends. Comfortable. Food: good variety but mostly fried. Shrimp (boiled and fried), fish, oysters(charbroiled, fried), crawfish (seasonal), alligator, poboys, loaded potatoes, gumbo, fries, salads, coleslaw, boudin balls,etc. I ordered their medium shrimp and liked it. It was breaded and fried and it came with way more than expected- about 20+shrimp. Prices: everything is pretty close to $12-25 for dinner items depending on what you get. For 2 people at dinner: mediumshrimp w fries, 4 boudin balls, fish strips w fries and 2 soft drinks it was $45. I do think their crawfish is way too expensive($7/lb in February 2022 where other local crawfish stops are closer to $5.50-6.00/lb). Service: Very friendly, comfortable andmade sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a good experience. We will return."

"The name says everything!! It is a beautiful place to eat breakfast, brunch or even lunch. This place has a lot of parking. Inside has spacious seating. Clean and friendly service. Great place to bring the whole family. They are open 6-2 weekends are more busy, but do not wait badly. My husband I had breakfast in DELICIOUS. The waitress was helpful and friendly, even if she was busy. The food was hot, which I really appreciate!! Eggs are right. The only negative is my cheese on the hashbrowns was American slice cheese. I feel shredded Cheddar is much better, but the potatoes weren't terrible. We're definitely going back. If you haven't tried the Waffle Shoppe, I suggest you try it."

"I called in a order for a Ham Cheese sandwich with hash browns, I also order an extra order of hashbrowns. I was told my order would be ready in 10 mins. I knew that wasn't true so l came 30 mins after l placed my order. I still had to wait another 10 mins and when my order was ready it wasn't correct. The waitress had an attitude because l told her I was overcharged. I was charged twice for the extra order of hash brownies and twice for a to go order. Then she tired to tell me that the hash brownies with the sandwich had my extra order of hash browns. I TOLD HER THAT WASNT TRUE. so she takes my order back to the cook but when l tried to tell the waitress about being charged twice for the hash browns she really had a nasty attitude. She then says to me fine l will give you back the 2,79, and i said what about being charged twice for placing one order She then says to me ok, I WILL JUST GIVE YOU 3,00 IN A LOUD VOICE before she goes back in the kitchen. Now when my order was ready another waitress handed me my order and didn't say a word. the food isn't bad but the waitresses need to have a better attitude when you are working in a restaurant ."

"Never again.... we always go to another place in town, but I decided I wanted to try El Flamingo out. Big mistake. We went for lunch, we both ordered meals with chicken. The waiter came out and asked us again if we wanted steak or chicken. We both said chicken. So, when my fajitas came out and they were steak, I said I ordered chicken. The waiter just looked at me strange and I said well, let me try the steak maybe I will like it and I was starving. I took one bite of the chewy nasty meat that was steak I guess and said no way, please give me the chicken... that I had ordered from the start. The waiter said ok. I would have thought he went back to the kitchen and told them to make it, but he didn't. After 20 minutes my husband was still sitting there waiting to eat until I got mine. His was wrong too, they put the wrong sauce on what he had ordered and had to bring it out in a separate bowl. The waiter came back and put a bill on our table. I said why are you giving us a bill when I haven't gotten my food yet? He started mumbling something we couldn't understand and I said did you not ask the kitchen to make what I ordered? He walked away and brought back another gentleman who we couldn't understand either, and I am not sure he knew what was going on. By that time I was just done with the place and said take mine off the bill i don't even want anything now. I was ready to go. We ended up leaving and neither of us had even had our meals. We were seated in the main area near the bathroom and all I could smell in there was the odor of toilet deodorizer. Never again! If this was the last establishment Mexican food in town I would just go to Taco Bell or drive an hour away to eat somewhere else. I wish Yelp would give an option for negative stars!"

"The noise level was incredibly high, making it nearly impossible to hear the server. The menu was hard to read and lacked detailed descriptions, and the server wasn’t able to clarify anything for us. The drinks were self-serve, but the area was chaotic, with ice and spilled beverages everywhere. The flavor of the drinks was off, and when I mentioned it, the server informed me that they were short on options and had inadequate staff. The food was ready, but there were no labels indicating which sandwich belonged to whom, so I ended up having to ask for ketchup and napkins. The bathroom was in a very unclean state. I had visited before for ice cream but had never tried the food. Overall, my experience was disappointing and not worth the trouble."
