"I'm no breakfast person, especially before an early flight. However, it seemed smart to get a meal in before heading in for a longer flight. Originally we looked at other chains but saw Marathon. Appears to be a Pittsburgh local item, there was one near downtown though not sure if this is the only one remaining. There is a bit of a wait ~10-15min) but it is worth it if you have the time. Crispy, fluffy home fries, tasty eggs and good breakfast meats. Normal eggs and omelette are both good and seem fresh prepared. Price is also good $10-12/meal) even for airport, I would not be upset to have this at a diner anywhere. The Italian bread is also crispy and delicious, and there is butter, ham, and ketchup/hot sauce which go really well with the offerings. Additionally, they have Greek offerings gyro and some sandwiches) which looked good and seemed available at breakfast time, but that will have to wait for another day. In short, try this place, you will not be disappointed!"

The fries were delicious, but the gyro meat was disappointing. I'm thankful this wasn't my first experience with a gyro.

The create your own omelette option is probably the most economically filling meal in the pittsburgh airportProvolone and gyro meat peppers onions and mushrooms

Hot fresh made to order omelette, toast and potatoes. Can't beat it. Large portions, they don't skimp. For a diner they would have made Mel, Vera and Alice proud.

This is my third time having breakfast at this airport restaurant, and I have to say, the omelet is consistently excellent! It’s just as good as the one at Pamela's in Shadyside! View menu

Rating 5 stars on the Airport Food scale. Big portions and satisfying. I had 2 eggs, scrambled, with sausage, home fries, and toast. The coffee was good too. This is a much, much better option than the fast food places next to it.

I just wanted to write a review as this place deserves it. Great food! Probably one of the BEST burgers I have ever had. Nice customer service and prompt with orders. They are severly underrated at KPIT. Also, the breakfast all day option was very welcome! Will go back and refer others! View menu

Once again, the Marathon Diner did not disappoint! The staff greeted me warmly and offered a few lunch recommendations. I decided on the loaded gyro and fries. Just like always, the fries were fresh and hot, and the food was perfectly prepared. Whenever I’m in the area, I always make it a point to stop at the Marathon Diner first.

You can tell the owner is a hard-working dude! He was behind the counter today slinging gyros and breakfast food. Loved finding this more local spot within the Airport where you are usually surrounded by chains. It was the smell that drew me in! The veggie gyro was pretty solid. I would have liked to have seen some falafel or feta cheese on there for protein. The wrap was a little soggy. Also, I was missing the Mediterranean seasoning from the wrap. The fries were okay (I added a lot of salt and pepper). This place is getting 4 stars for the backstory and the hardworking team!
