In addition, you’ll find frozen meals and homemade soups available for takeout. The staff is friendly, though parking can be a bit cramped. The sandwich is king here. Great spot to pick up lunch before an afternoon visit to Balboa Park where the food offering leaves a lot to be desired. Grocery items are priced at a premium; I suppose it’s necessary to pay the rent and I don’t mind supporting a small business. Looking forward to trying the soup. Cheers to delicious meaty sandwiches (get the Ruben it doesn’t disappoint).

Perfect spot to find almost anything. If I ever need something from a store and I'm not sure where to find it, I try here and usually have good luck. Some fresh produce is available but it goes fast. The deli is the stuff of legends. Good variety, always fresh, and tastes great. Obviously gets busy around lunch so plan accordingly. There are a few parking spots but it's in a parking problem area so allow time for that too.
