"I usually go to Mash Roots at Element Eatery, but I couldn't find them to leave this review, so I'm posting it here. The Old San Juan is always my favorite, and I usually enjoy the tostones as well, but both were very disappointing this time. The plantains in my Old San Juan were dry, gritty, and unfortunately lacking in flavor. As for the tostones, they appeared to be made from an end cut of the breadfruit, with each one having a leathery texture on one side; they were dry and mushy instead of crispy and fresh. Perhaps it was because I came in at 6 PM on a Sunday, but the food I received was clearly old and not worth the money. Despite this experience, I will return, but the quality control definitely needs to be addressed, as this food should never have been served in such a state."

Everything was absolutely delicious! I had the Creole bowl with pink sauce, the chicken with garlic sauce, and tostones with pink sauce. OMG!!!

The Puerto Rican brings me so much joy. It's hands down the best burger in the city. It connects me to my Puerto Rican roots. Everything on the menu is amazing. I've found my new favorite restaurant!

Wow! This place feels just like home. I wish the empanadas were either bigger or served in a set of smaller ones for the price, but they are absolutely delicious. The plantains were spot on, and the aioli is simply amazing!

The beef empanada is outstanding, and the burger is a classic that’s really tasty. On the downside, the cheese balls didn't have enough cheese, even though the breading was fantastic. Unfortunately, the cookie was dry and too sticky. View menu

The place has a really cool vibe, though it's not exactly what I expected from a Latin restaurant. Unfortunately, they were out of caipirinhas when I visited. The coxinha was nice, but I’ve had better. However, I definitely recommend trying the yuca fries!

We were shopping at Fern's right down the street and decided this looked like something different. I'm so happy we stopped in. My wife built her own bowl, allowing her to avoid food sensitivities, and I went with the copacabana. We were both very satisfied with our bowls. Super flavorful and filling. Well worth a try. We will definitely be back.

The food had great flavor. We ordered the San Juan bowl and the Puerto Rican burger, along with loaded tostones and a side of empanada. However, I had an issue with the bowl; the plantain was burnt, which affected the overall taste. The prices are a bit high for the food, but I understand the costs of rent, electricity, employees, and ingredients. Still, they should think about their pricing if they want to keep customers coming back. View menu

This is the best empanadas I have ever tasted! The outer layer has a perfectly crispy texture with delightful bubbles, indicating they were fried just right. The exterior has a satisfying crunch, while the inside is tender. The desserts are fantastic as well. The cookie is wonderful—a delicious shortbread that's just the right amount of sweetness, with a coconut caramel filling that strikes the perfect balance. The mousse is tangy, slightly sweet, and wonderfully creamy. This has now become my favorite Latin cuisine restaurant!

I visited this restaurant for a quick lunch yesterday and was thoroughly impressed! My husband is Brazilian, so finding authentic cuisine in Cincinnati can be quite challenging. I tried the coxinha, passion fruit mousse (mousse do maracujá), and guava and cheese brigadeiros (goiabada e queijo brigadeiros). Everything was incredible! They also offer Guaraná and Brahma beer, which is a nice touch. I noticed that two of the staff members are Brazilian, and I really enjoyed chatting with them. I can't wait to bring my husband back soon! Thank you!
