"This is one of the worst restaurant experiences I 've had in this area. No greeting when we arrived. Finally waved someone down to ask for a table. He said go in there . Had to hunt down another server to ask where to sit. And then twiddled our thumbs while trying to make eye contact with any server that passed by. When we were finally acknowledged (just before walking out), we ordered a dozen oysters (I 've seen all the recommendations for Joe 's having the best oysters in SPI) and the Nathan grilled fish, shrimp a crab cake. I have to disagree! The oysters were small and grainy, filled with sand. The crab cake was burnt on the outside and mushy on the inside, lots of filler, minimal crab. Shrimp were overcooked and fish was bland. While waiting for our order, we saw 2 roaches crawling across the floor and a dead roach on the floor by the restroom, which was horrendous! I love to support our local businesses and I wish I could give them a better review. It was very disappointing and I don 't think I would ever go back."

"When we visited South Padre Island and during our visit we had the opportunity to go to Port Isabel to eat at the Pirate 's Landing Restaurant by the bay. It was a pleasant experience. The place has this Pirates of the Caribbean decoration through out the place that gives you a feeling of time travel. Although food took sometime to get to the table, it was delicious. I did not get a change to visit the restroom, so I can 't really tell you about the cleanness of this one. What I can tell you is the table where we sat down was nice and clean. Very, very, yes very spacious. Then in the middle of the table had a rotating mini table which served as pass me the salt kind of thing . Very practical. At the end we enjoyed the show of a professional magician which displayed his abilities with deck of cards at a Las Vegas Style. He was impressive. Then after lunch we walked to the back of the restaurant and into the pier to an amazing breeze. We had a great time!"

"The food was mediocre. I ordered chicken tacos for my daughter, and when my husband checked the chicken—as we always do—it had a strange odor, as if it was a few days old. He took a bite, and it tasted off as well. We informed the waitress, and when it was time to pay, the manager told my husband, "That's just how chicken smells." They didn’t charge us for the meal since it was uneaten, but it was disappointing to hear them try to downplay the situation with old chicken. Additionally, about an hour after eating, both my husband and I started to experience stomach pains, so we're concerned that what we ordered might have caused food poisoning."

However, the food is consistently disappointing, with limited entree choices that never change. The dishes often feature too much broccoli or batter, and the flavors are not authentic Chinese. The noodles are muddy and the fried rice is bland. The sides, like egg rolls and onion rings, are not served hot or crispy. Overall, the restaurant fails to impress with its lackluster menu and unexceptional food. It's best to look for a better Chinese restaurant elsewhere."

"Have been eating here for over 30 years!! Love the CRAB CAKES(they are a nice large portion not tiny like other restaurants) and come with a delicious sauce. Same for the OYSTERS ROCKEFELLER.Only con is their prices were DOUBLE from past years.Due to COVID and the losses restaurant owners sufferred financially I understood.THERE were 3 of us, myself and 2 young grandsons. Usually the bill Iin the past would be around $40 plus tip as we only eat the appetizers as that's our favorites..Last year the same items were $80 plus $16 tip. Very expensive for just 3 appetizers. No entres.Will be back this summer and of course I'LL HAVE to eat there just WON'T be able to eat there 4 times a week like I used to.View of the causeway and Bay is so relaxing. Service is ALWAYS IMPECCIBLE. And you can pick out your fresh seafood to take to your condo to cook. Best SHRIMP anywhere on the ? ?? Island. We always stay at the Long Island Resort."
