"I have been a customer at this restaurant since 2009 and used to enjoy it. Last week, we brought 15 friends for a surprise party, but when we called the restaurant, we were put on hold for over 10 minutes multiple times, so we had to book 3 separate reservations online. The staff was initially friendly but slow, and we were eating and drinking enough to have the automatically included tip, but our server failed to input multiple orders, resulting in some guests not receiving any food. Despite apologizing, the server did not offer any compensation. Some sandwiches were missing ingredients as listed on the menu, and this all happened before the 10pm rush. Around 10pm, as we were considering canceling the forgotten orders, another staff member hinted that we should leave to make way for the rush. One of our group explained how rude and pushy this was, especially since we had spent a considerable amount of money and were still waiting for forgotten orders. The staff member apologized, but overall, the service and food/drink preparation were subpar. It is unclear if this was just an off night, but it was disappointing compared to the excellent experience we used to have at this restaurant."

It was a low key day. The food was good. It was not overly spiced.

pretty good Jamaican cuisine. the service was pretty slow, with the bartender practically everything. Ceaser salad, Ruck chicken dinner (with cauliflower and rice)

I really loved the live band. It was my birthday and they dedicated songs to me. The food was quite spicy and salty, but flavorful. The owners and hostesses were fantastic. Overall, I had a great time.

The food was very good, but the service was less than ideal. Our server never refilled our drinks or came to check on us until the meal was over. I would recommend this as a more casual dining experience. View menu

We went to this restaurant for live music but had to go to the West location because they had a DJ. Well that was a mistake. Everything was spicy! I’ve been to Jamaica before and some foods are spicy but not everything! There was a tall guy that kept rudely snatching up the dishes as soon as we put anything down. We told this same guy that we were there for the music so we would be staying a while. He let the place get packed then told us we had to move! There was no place to go! We left and won’t return. They need to fire this worker! Or at least train him on customer service! The food was lukewarm too. Jasmine our waitress was nice.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
