"Boy, oh boy, where do I even begin with this review? Let's just say that if you're looking for a new local favorite in the Sellwood area, this place is it!And the waiter with glasses, has to be an establishment favorite, am I right? He was more than just amazing, he was downright awesome! His customer service was off the charts, like an A+ and beyond! He was so friendly and professional and just radiated great energy! But let's get down to the nitty-gritty, the food. The burger was cooked to perfection, with a bun so soft you could probably use it as a pillow. As for the chicken club, it was good, but unfortunately the bacon was cooked too crispy as it had the crunch of a potato chip and the truffle fries were a bit overcooked as well.Hey, these things happen, but don't worry, it was still an enjoyable experience and meal. And next time, we'll just have to make sure to communicate that we don't want our food to be cooked as long.Overall, we'll definitely be back for more! Who knows, maybe the waiter will even remember us and give us an extra dose of that amazing energy!"

We love this little spot. Do yourself a favor and check out the beer garden hidden in the back. Adults only, but kids love the main restaurant as well.

The day after I visited this place, $1000 was stolen off of my credit card. Paying my bill here with that card was the only time it went out of my sight recently.

Pretty disappointing. Haven't been there for years.... and it will be a long time before I go back again if ever. Service screw up and mediocre hamburger. Not at all worth the money or the time. View menu

We used to come her a lot. There is one server an who is extremely rude. Last night she literally walked past me twice to help others who came in after me. There are a lot better options like the Lime Light who have a lot better food and service. We will no longer be coming here.

I understand being understaffed, but it was not that busy, and it took over a half hour after we were seated to even get acknowledged by our waiter and then he didn't come back to talk to us for another 15 minutes. I didn't know if I had to bus myown table, and he completely missed a drink order. The food was pretty good though.

Our go-to place for great beer and sandwiches. Monday the pints are $4.50 all day. They have the chuck-a-nut pilsner, Sellwood Pilsner on tap which is probably the best pilsner you 'll ever have. There are quite a few tables, in the front, back beergarden, and large side room and often only two servers so it gets dicey when large parties come in but service is alwaysfriendly. View menu

This is our favorite spot for delicious beer and sandwiches. On Mondays, pints are just $4.50 all day long. They serve the Chuck-A-Nut Pilsner, the "Sellwood Pilsner," on tap, which is likely the best pilsner you'll ever taste. The restaurant has plenty of seating options, including tables in the front, a back beer garden, and a spacious side room. However, they often have only two servers on duty, so it can get hectic when larger groups arrive, but the service remains consistently friendly.

This is perhaps unfair, for we were dismissed before sampling anything. We, members of a band, had finished playing and came to this place upon a recommendation. Members went in, got in line, and were told to go down to another door (actually an exit and we would be taken care of. Well, we did, sat down (8 of us and were ignored for a while. Then a wait staff came out and said, We have a line and you needed to be in that. We informed her that we had and were told to come to this part. She told us that the door we came in was an exit and did not believe that a staff member told us where to go (who else was going to guide us? A customer? . Basically, we were told to either go back out and get...

"a Cena is our favorite restaurant in Portland hands down. The atmosphere is that of an authentic Italian dining experience. It’s an intimate space with beautiful decor. The staff are talented and knowledgeable in both the food selections and the wine pairings. Our ongoing experience has been that we can throw out what we are craving for wine that evening and our server will always give us just what we are looking for. Now, the food. Oh. My. Gosh. It’s unmatched! To start, we like to enjoy the burrata. It’s wonderfully chilled with the proper amount of seasoning and oil melts in your mouth. The bread basket that is served when you’re seated is fresh, aromatic and full of flavor. Not to mention the addicting crispy breadsticks! On to the main course if you come to a Cena for the first time and aren’t sure what to get, it’s easy. The Lobster Agnolotti will take your breath away. Topped with a generous serving of tender lobster that has been cooked to perfection, the Agnolotti is a wonderful pasta stuffed to the brim with a beautiful and delicate creamy corn mascarpone filling. A soft buttery goodness envelopes the dish and it makes my mouth water just writing this! To finish is the tiramisu. Always! It’s light and fluffy in all the right places and dense and filling in all the other right places! The flavors come together extremely well and leave you wishing you could indulge all over again! There is nowhere else like it! The owner Chris will come and greet you with his kind humor and love of food. He’s wonderful! The entire dining experience is one that you just have to have here in Portland! You will leave already planning your next visit back!"

"This is a Woodstock neighborhood gem with a lot of locals dining there. There is familiarity between staff and local patrons which isn 't the best for 'outsiders '. The restaurant has great potential to be one of the best in Portland. I have no doubtthe chef is doing a superb job because the food tasted delicious and was presented well. I am not a food critic, and feeltastes are subjective so I will not review the food any further. Our disappointment was about the service and overallrestaurant effort given the high prices for a non-downtown restaurant. Paper napkins for a $200 meal for two? Really? We choseto sit outside not knowing the layout of the outdoor space because it was a lovely warm day. We were definitely ignoredthroughout our wine pairing, 3-course meal until another table was seated outside towards the end of our meal. We waited about20 minutes for our dessert to show up. We don 't mind 'slow dining ', in fact we prefer it, but there is a huge difference betweenbeing ignored and a deliberate slow dining experience. Nobody checked on us throughout our meal, and plate collection was veryslow as well as forgotten paired wine with our entree. : The obvious let down is the very busy and very loud street, but weweren 't expecting apartment occupants above the restaurant to be so loud and obnoxious as well. Not sure how either of thoseconditions would be remedied other than sitting inside. I am not sure if we would go back given the expense and our first timemediocre experience.????"
