"This is the second time my wife and I have dined at this restaurant, and both experiences have been fantastic. The salads feature fresh ingredients, and the service is quick and friendly. The lunchtime crowd consists of local patrons who know each other and enjoy their time together. The building itself is old but has been beautifully restored, with charming touches that enhance the local character. This time, I ordered the vegetable panini, which was filled with tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and artichoke slices. It was cooked to perfection, with the vegetables still retaining their crispness. The restaurant is conveniently located on Main Street, making it easily accessible from the interstate."

This place has been closed for about two weeks. We yelped it while on the road and were intrigued by the pics and reviews. Info needs to be updated.

It has permanently closed... which is a shame because it seemed like it was a great cafe. However, there's a classic diner across the street that serves a delicious breakfast.

I stopped by for a coffee and a little visit. The place looks fantastic, and I really appreciate the wonderful work they do to help those in need. Service was great for dining in, and the price per person was quite reasonable, ranging from $1 to $10. View menu

Trust the reviews! I stumbled upon this charming little spot while looking for a lunch option along route 90. We both ordered the potato soup special, which was fantastic and steaming hot. His turkey club and my Greek salad were both incredibly fresh and truly had a homemade flavor. It's easy to get on and off the highway, and the staff was extremely friendly. Be sure to stop by if you're in the area!

Sweet place in the heart of a quaint downtown. Easy thruway on/off. Yelp led us to this charming lunch stop and didn 't steer us wrong. Breakfast selections looked tempting, but we opted for sandwiches and salads. Everything was delicious, fresh and in generous portions. A couple of special requests were handled cheerfully. Service was spot on from a very nice waitress on her first day. Thanks, Yelpers. Good advice. :

What a hidden gem on Church Street in Canajoharie, right off the New York State Thruway! I found this place through Yelp. Charming, beautifully decorated, great parking out back. I had french toast made with Heidelberg bread and applewood bacon. Delicious! I took a picture, but unfortunately something went wrong, which is a shame because it looked as good as it tasted. Definitely make this part of your day if you're passing through the area or if you live in the area and are looking for a new hidden gem. View menu

I'm a huge fan! Over the past six years, I've visited Canajoharie multiple times for family reasons, and I've noticed new shops and cafes opening and closing with each visit. I'm happy to report that some have now been around for at least the past year. The space could use a bit more decoration, but aside from that, it's wonderful. The prices are reasonable, the food is locally sourced and high quality, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The atmosphere feels like a trendy coffee shop that could easily thrive in a larger city. Kudos to Onatah Café!

I found this restaurant through Yelp while driving through the area around lunchtime, and I'm so glad I did! It's a spacious place with both table and counter seating. The owner was friendly and made the experience even better. I ordered the quiche of the day, which was delicious and served in a generous portion alongside some fresh greens. I left feeling very satisfied, especially considering the reasonable prices. They also offer beer and wine, though I didn't try any. Overall, it was definitely worth the detour off the highway. There’s street parking available as well.

"I really hate to only leave 1 star but to be honest, that's all they deserve. First, let me say that all the people who work there are great. They are all friendly and courteous so they are not reflected in my 1 star rating at all. I got off the Thruway today and stopped into Gino's to grab some lunch before continuing my drive. I got off the Thruway just to stop and eat there because I used to like it there. Unfortunately, today was my last trip to Gino's ever! I called ahead and ordered a calzone so it would be almost ready when I arrived. When I arrived, I went straight into the men's room to wash up. There is a paper towel dispenser on the wall, yet there is always a roll of paper towels sitting on the sink to dry up with. How hard is it to load the paper towels into the paper towel dispenser? Also, the men's room toilet seat is broken. It is broken to the point where it almost falls off and onto the floor. I brought my mother here 2 weeks ago and she had to use the men's room because the ladies room was out of service. The seat was broken then. Toilet seats are an easy fix. They cost about $15 at Lowes. Fix it!!! Next, I walk over to the cooler to get myself a bottle of the cream soda. The cooler light is out and it's dark in the cooler. I don't know if the light is broken or if it's just off, but it's dark in there. I locate my bottle of soda, tell the waitress that I'm the guy who called for the calzone, and seat myself in the front window so I can look out and see some local sights. Canajoharie is a small but cute town that has a hometown feel to it. I take notice of the original architecture on some of the buildings on the main strip. There are a couple of Antique shops next to the Pizzeria which I'd enjoying browsing through if I found myself with more time on my hands. About this time, the waitress walks towards my table so I ask her if I can get a small antipasto. She replies sure. I tell her no onion please. She says ok. A few minutes later after playing with my phone and texting the waitress arrives at my table delivering a pepperoni, jalapeno pepper with cheese calzone and a small antipasto without onions. I start with the antipasto which is very good and the balsamic vinegar dressing was a perfect match for it. While enjoying my antipasto, I'm in a constant battle with some flies that have invaded the establishment. This is always another problem while eating here. These flies should not be an issue while eating. The front door seems to be left open sometimes by other patrons who don't close it tightly while coming or going. Maybe that's when the flies make their entrance. Maybe a spring that closes the door behind people would help. Next, I cut into my calzone well, actually ripped into my calzone. You can't cut much with a butter knife. I've ordered calzones here before and for some reason they insist on giving you a butter knife to cut your calzone. Breaking News CUTTING CALZONES WITH A BUTTER KNIFE DOES NOT WORK!!! The calzone tasted really good. Mine was stuffed with pepperoni, jalapeno peppers, ricotta cheese and mozzarella. It was cooked to perfection and could not have been any better. But now I'm fighting off an army of flies and trying to cut my calzone with a butter knife at the same time. This really puts a damper when you're trying to enjoy your meal. When I complete my meal and try to calm down after fighting all the flies, the waitress comes over and gives me the check. My meal came to about $18.00, which I don't think is bad for what I ate. Again, the food was really, really good. I go up to the register and they cash me out, and I leave. I get back in my car and leave Gino's for good. Conclusion: If they ever make a show like Bar Rescue only for Pizzerias called Pizzeria Rescue, this place should be on the first episode. It seems to me like whoever is running this place just doesn't care or doesn't know how to manage this pizzeria the right way. This place could be a money maker, but everytime I go there, it's empty inside. I just don't understand why this place is so run down. You have to have clean working bathrooms, proper pest control, good utensils and nice dishware. They have the good food and service already. This place needs a good cleaning and a list needs to be made with all the repairs needed, and then that list needs to be addressed with everything being fixed and cleaned. I'd love to someday be eating here again, but I can tell you that day won't happen for at least a year."
