"Had a very mixed experience visiting here for dinner, maybe it was an off nightFood was really excellent and the service staff were really kind, but there was a lack of organization that made for a frustrating experience. There were at least 6 waitstaff working and it was never clear who should be doing what. For four people with 5 rolls ordered the timing for things coming out left a lot to be desired. It was a 2.5 hour meal with sushi coming out in waves every 10 or 15 min. We ordered edamame and miso with the meal and rather than coming out first we had: sushi, edamame, the rest of our sushi rolls and finished with miso? Miso is not a desert. There was also confusion on what sushi we had and had to figure out with them what sushi we had already been served because three different people were bringing stuff out to them. For the size of the restaurant it feels like they would be better served reducing staff and having a manager/host as a permanent position. They also dimmed the lights as it became dark out which was a bit straining."

The simple $9 spicy salmon or tuna rolls are stupid Good. Highly recommend if you're in a local to andersonville to try this new Sushi spot. The menu is a bit small but tasty.Food: 5/5

I have dined at every Japanese restaurant in Chicago, and this was the most amazing experience I've ever had. The food is incredibly delicious and fresh, and the staff is very friendly. Food: 5/5.

The food is excellent. It's a BYOB restaurant with a $2 charge. The service was great. The only downside was that I left the restaurant smelling like a smoky kitchen. I’m curious why, since it’s a sushi place—wouldn't expect to smell like I just cooked! Food: 5/5.

In my view, Ora is far and away the best sushi spot in Chicago, and among the best restaurants period. The quality of the fish and the attention to detail in preparation are outstanding. On top of that, they've got great service, reasonable prices, and it's BYOB. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot, you won't be disappointed!Food: 5/5 View menu

I recently visited Ora for the first time, and I was not let down at all. The sushi quality was outstanding, surpassing any other sushi I've ever tasted; it was incredibly fresh and flavorful. In addition to sushi, there are plenty of other small plates and non-sushi options to choose from. I started with the oyster motoyaki as an appetizer, and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to all sushi enthusiasts. It offers a perfect, relaxing atmosphere as well.

Absolutely! The sushi here is incredibly fresh. However, the owner can be a bit tough on the newer servers. For instance, when one of them placed my plate down facing the wrong way, the owner didn't need to scold her in front of customers and make her turn it around just as I was about to dig in. Despite that, I would definitely return. It's places like this that really deserve the option to serve at least culturally specific alcohol, if not a full drink menu—a curious quirk of Chicago's regulations.

This was the best sushi experience I've had in Andersonville. I ordered a baked oyster appetizer that was so delicious, I'm still craving it! It came with two bowls, making it perfect for sharing on a date. The miso soup was authentic and packed with flavor. I also enjoyed some edamame sprinkled with seasoned garlic salt, which I haven't encountered anywhere else. The signature rolls and sushi sets were spot on, featuring high-quality tuna and eel. Next time, I'll definitely take advantage of the BYOB option!

I've had some of the best sushi ever at Ora. I've visited multiple times, and I can confidently say I've never been disappointed. The sushi is excellent, boasting a fresh taste and a refreshing aftertaste that you can only find in high-quality dishes. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, always ready to engage in conversation. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, with dim lighting, cool tones, and beautiful wooden architecture. It's the perfect setting to enjoy a great meal and meaningful conversation. I highly recommend it!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
