"I visited this restaurant unaware that there had been a change in ownership, and I immediately noticed a decline in the quality of the food. Previously, the ginger salad dressing had a homemade taste, with generous chunks of ginger; now, the salad is served with very little dressing and tastes like something you would find at Walmart. I wasn't asked about my soup preference and was given onion soup that, unfortunately, tasted like dishwater. The sushi, which had once been amazing, is now of very poor quality. Moreover, I wasn't asked how I wanted my steak cooked, and it turned out to be much chewier and fattier than during my last visit. The overall hibachi experience has suffered too; the flavors are now indistinguishable from those at any other hibachi restaurant. I would love to return if the original owners, along with their original ingredients and recipes, were to make a comeback! On a positive note, the service was decent."

I absolutely love this restaurant! It's owned and operated by Mr. Paul and his wife, Ms. Judy. They had a buffet here for many years, but about four years ago, they transformed the place into Osaka. The food is excellent, and it's a fantastic spot to bring your family. View menu

I recently had a meal at Osaka, and it was a great experience under the new ownership. We ordered several sushi rolls, all of which were very fresh and full of flavor. Next time, we plan to try the hibachi experience, as it looked entertaining and interactive. I will definitely be back!

I can't speak on 99% of the menu, but let me tell you, the Tempura cheesecake is to DIE for!!!! Literally one of the best desserts I have ever had. I will order a meal somewhere and go out of my way to come here JUST to get the Tempura cheesecake to go. I convinced my mom to try it and she is obsessed now too. I'm sure the rest of the menu items are just as good but lord have mercy, get the cheesecake yall!

Came in to pickup a Togo order. I stood at the bar for maybe 10 minutes. Someone finally walks up and doesn’t even look my way. She checks the computer for something and then starts to leave again. I have to quickly get her attention before she acknowledges my existence to ask if my order is ready for pickup. All she says is “not yet” and keeps walking. Bad night? That’s fine. Favorite place for sushi!. We love going here for sushi! Have never been disappointed. The wait staff is very friendly. We usually sit at the sushi bar so we can watch the chef at work. Great place for a date night. We also enjoy the hibachi. The chefs are very entertaining. Food is always fresh. Only thing I've ever been disappointed with was the lobster. However, I'm one of those people who believe when you go to a restaurant that specializes in a certain cuisine, you should order just that. Their Japanese dishes are always great! Please give them a try!

By far, the best place I have had sushi anywhere in the states. I worked in Mobile for a year on contract and tried all of the sushi places around. Osaka was always very pleasant, friendly, fresh and enjoyable. It has a really personal feel to the atmosphere and the service was great. I ended up becoming a regular, then began exploring more traditional sushi. That's when I realized how good Osaka's fish was. It needs no sauce, cooking, gimmicks, or hype. A cold Japanese beer and freshly cut tuna, snapper, salmon, mackeral, or whatever chef serves is always going to be delicious at Osaka in Mobile. I recommend trying the Fish Finger- raw instead of fried. Can't wait to visit again.
