"We decided to stop here while passing through town, and it proved to be an excellent choice. Our group consisted of five adults and one toddler, and everyone ordered one or two tacos. The steak taco was the standout favorite—it was simply amazing. The grilled and crispy fish tacos were also delicious. Remarkably, our toddler finished an entire fish taco! The rice and beans that accompanied the meal were top-notch as well. It was evident that all the food is prepared fresh in-house. The service was fantastic; the staff were friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. We absolutely plan to return on our next drive through town. The restaurant just celebrated its 10-year anniversary, and if they maintain their high standards for food and service, I’m sure they’ll be around for another 100 years. As for kid-friendliness, we had a toddler and an infant with us. The toddler loved the food, but one area for improvement would be to add a changing station in the bathroom since my wife had to change the infant on the bench seat at our table."

This place was delicious! Fresh poke! I had the poke for dinner and tacos for lunch! I do wish the online ordering was better since it was confusing ordering the poke and they still had to call me to ask what I want.

My only critique is that I felt they were a bit stingy with the rice, beans, and plantains. Considering the price, I think they could provide a bit more of those sides without significantly affecting their bottom line. If you look at the accompanying photo, it's almost amusing how small the portions were. Ultimately, the tacos are the main attraction, and while rice and beans aren't the focus, I definitely could have enjoyed an extra plantain or two since they were so tasty!

My family made the trip up to Winter Park for a week. Every night we tried something new, and by far, Pepe’s was the best. Great selection and unique fusion of Japanese/Mexican. I had a spicy tuna sushi burrito which was delicious, a hot sake (which I always get if it’s available) and their after dinner Don Julio coffee liquor mixed drink. All of these were great, and I’d highly recommend it. Bonus points for being dog friendly (on the patio). Vegetarian options: My wife is vegetarian, they had every “dish” such as tacos, sushi burrito, tostada taco bowl with vegetarian options, which was the avocado selection. Plus some innately vegetarian sides such as the rice, chips and beans.
