"I dined here for lunch on a Friday around noon, and my server, Cheri, was fantastic—very attentive and knowledgeable about the daily specials and able to answer all my questions. The gumbo was outstanding, almost as good as my own! It had just the right amount of roux, packed with shrimp, andouille sausage, and chicken. The flavor layers were incredible; it was spicy enough that you didn’t need to add any extra heat—just enough to make you say "ahhhh." I can only imagine that the dish would bring tears to the eyes of most Floridians. The shrimp po' boy is absolutely to die for, featuring four large, fresh shrimp that literally melt in your mouth. The sauce was perfectly balanced to enhance the shrimp without overpowering it. And the cajun potatoes? Simply delicious. So, for all you aspiring Mardi Gras enthusiasts, you absolutely must come here. You won't be disappointed with the cuisine!"

"While we were at the restaurant, I overheard that Bill has also been doing wonderful things for emergency service personnel and contributing positively to the community. We need to support businesses like this, especially since they’ve been there for us in our time of need. I’ve attached some photos, including a rare moment of our family smiling despite the devastation and disaster following Hurricane Ian. Bill Schmearer, we are eternally grateful for your kindness and compassion towards our family. The Melting Pot is a true gem in the community, and I wish it many more successful years. Bill, the owner, has no idea we've written this review; he’s just a genuinely nice guy when no one is watching! "

"I absolutely loved this place. I arrived at just the right time, because 5 minutes later there were people waiting outside to get a table. I had read a review about their 3-bite shrimp, and let me tell you, they were not kidding. The fried shrimp were huge and delicious. I also tried the fried green tomatoes, which were fantastic even though I don't usually like tomatoes. The portions were generous and I definitely overate. And to top it off, they had a taste of home (Baltimore) right on the table - a big container of Old Bay seasoning. I would definitely come back if I am ever traveling this way again."

"Citrola's Italian Grill Pizzeria, College Pkwy, Ft.Myers,FL., Here are my 2 cents on the food and chatter. Ahh this is an ole fashion type of Italian dining. I made bread in house with butter, free, as a precursor to my meal of Lasagne. This use has passed the standard of ALL Restaurant in days. I had Lasagne in three different places. Everything within the last two weeks. And basically, they really all cost the same. (just as fried beans in Mexican restaurants). The difference is the type of meat and noodle inside. So lasagna is like a pizza a personal choice. I like the best. Good, balance enough garlic much taste. I also have a pepper shaker/mushroom bite. It was a thin crust very good. BUT I thought they were very cheap when adding the mushroom. Not very many. Service, by Margot was excellent. Staff in general was great. Note: Parking can be tight. The lot is small. But worth the trip."

"At Maria's Pizzeria, we started with two appetizers, but it took quite some time before our soups arrived, while some in our group received salads. The soups were very flavorful, though the salads were just average. We ended up spending nearly three hours at the restaurant. Once all our dishes were served, it felt like we had to hurry the server to place the rest of our orders. There were four servers attending to our table, and we chose to leave a 20% tip for our main server, as we felt she might not have been fully trained or was struggling to manage our large group along with her other tables. Overall, the menu had good options, but the service could use some improvement."
