"Having worked in food service for quite some time, I can say that there are multiple health code violations at this place. During my last two visits, I found hair in my food, and just a day later, there was a fly in my quesadilla. Additionally, the "up next" wooden board that sits directly on top of the grill, along with the dough used for the tortillas, is covered in dust. This dust could easily fall into the tortilla mix, your food, or even into the grill itself. My recommendations? For the restaurant, please ensure that your staff wears hair ties or nets. More than half of them do not take precautions to prevent hair from getting into the food. Please also clean the sign and anything else near the food preparation area. As for customers, this place still has great food, but I advise you to be cautious. Make sure to inspect your meal and report any issues to management. As for me, even though I’m not sure how to go about it, I plan to find a way to file a complaint with the local health authorities. This restaurant urgently needs an inspection."

The atmosphere is very relaxed. They make the tortillas fresh right in front of you on a large spinning hot plate, with options for corn or flour. The food is delicious!

When you're downtown and craving a burrito, this is easily the best place to go. Very welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and you get to watch them cook your food(and tortillas) as you go through line.

Came tonight because I paid for a pub crawl they were listed as being a participant. Had no idea what was going on despite me showing them my digital ticket. Treated me like I was trying to steal from them.

When you order tacos, my problem is the fresh tortillas when filled become soggy and fall apart! This is because the cooked meat is in juice not grilled then put on dry. I would suggest food not put into tortillas View menu

One of the employees, short with blue hair and weird looking made fun of my disability that I cannot control, unprompted. Her manager Tilly did not show an ounce of concern and said forget about it.I am reporting this mistreatment to the ADA since Rancho Fresco does not care.

The food was amazing, finally some quality food in Modesto! The fresh handmade tortillas make a world of a difference and has opened my eyes to how important the tortilla is for the flavor of a taco! I ordered barbacoa, carnitas, and steak tacos and all were amazing especially the barbacoa, it had such a rich flavor and has a nice kick to it. I’ll be taking more photos next time cuz I’m definitely coming back.

"For starters, we usually go for the pork gyoza, which we really enjoy. The salad is your basic iceberg lettuce blend, dressed with pink House Mayo—so don't expect ginger or ranch dressings here. I’m not used to miso soup as I’m from the East Coast, where the common choice is Clear Soup. Miso is cloudier and contains chunks of tofu and seaweed. I typically slide my bowl toward my husband because it’s not a flavor I’ve developed a taste for, and I just can’t do tofu. We’ve tried many sushi rolls here and my favorites are the Spicy Girl, Fuji Mountain, and the pregnancy-friendly Lion King! I highly recommend their sushi. During lunch, you can choose from a variety of bento boxes, most of which are around $10. Each bento box comes with your choice of meat, rice, a small salad, some tempura, and about four pieces of a roll that includes avocado, krab, and cream cheese (I believe). For all the pregnant women in our family, the teriyaki dish is a favorite. It’s served sizzling on a hot iron skillet with mushrooms, sliced onions, broccoli, and carrots. The rice is served on the side, and you can select chicken, steak, or salmon. Fun fact: This place used to be a Burger King before it transformed into Osaka. Established in 2007, it tends to get quite busy; it’s really popular! I’ve seen people waiting for a table during lunch hours multiple times, including today."
