Best bbq place in town, hands down. Exceptional beer selection, excellent customer service and the perfect atmosphere come together to feel this place like the small, hometown irrigation hole we never knew we were missing. 10/10 Always be brilliant!

I regret to say that my wife and I did not enjoy our lunch. I ordered the pork sandwich combo, while my wife had the chicken sandwich combo. Unfortunately, neither sandwich had much flavor, and we were quite disappointed. On a positive note, the staff were all very friendly.

We always enjoy seeing Greg at the register; he has such a kind spirit! The Southern Brisket Salad is hands down the best salad in the Fort Payne area. I'm also a fan of their Brisket Mac and Cheese. This restaurant is fantastic! The owners are incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious. The German potato salad was absolutely perfect, with a wonderful blend of onions and tangy vinegar. The brisket was among the best I've ever tasted, and the coleslaw strikes a great balance—it’s not overly sweet and has a nice spicy kick at the end. I highly recommend it—10/10!

If you find yourself in the DeSoto Falls area of Ft. Payne, this restaurant is a must-visit! The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is lively, and the staff is incredibly friendly. During our weekend trip, we appreciated the dog-friendly patio out back, where they even provided a water bowl for our dog. We will absolutely return the next time we're in town! The Brussels Sprout Hash and Mac n Cheese were both delicious and offered creative takes on traditional BBQ sides.

This was one of the highlights of our trip across the state border to AL because it 's what I would define as 'elevated BBQ '. From the moment we walked in, Greg greeted us with a big smile and went through the menu for us and helped seat our big group. Before we even ordered, he brought us a sample of the warm German potato salad that was his mother 's recipe and also let us sample the coleslaw with the grilled shrimp. We ordered the family pack of brisket and pork and got the potato salad, coleslaw, and the brussels sprout hash for our sides. The buns for the bbq was grilled and warm to make sandwiches. We were warmly welcomed right at the entrance, where we received a quick overview of the menu. The food was bursting with flavor! The ribs and nachos were fantastic. We tried the brown BBQ sauce, which was a bit different but a refreshing change. It wasn't thick like traditional sauces; instead, it was thinner and had a dark vinegar base with spices that caught us by surprise. Now, onto the sides—they were not your typical Southern fare, but rather offered a Northern twist with the delicious German potato salad and green chili. We would definitely come back for the meat! The uncle who greeted us was very friendly and welcoming and informative. The nephew makes the food. Some local guys were having a drink at the bar. Comfy, simple place. And the locals gave us a recommendation for a place for tomorrow. Now, the food. We split a rib dinner and a brisket sandwich. Both had killer flavor! Unfortunately I dipped my ribs in the sauces (we tried all 4) until the last half a rib, then realized the ribs were totally more yummy than any of the sauces. Got to try this place out last weekend while in Fort Payne. It 's got pretty solid bbq! As the name suggests, it 's more or less Roadside we were driving along the main drag with Google maps open when suddenly we were instructed to turn right into our destination. We saw the smoker out front and knew we were in the right place! Upon entering, we were greeted by a very friendly older gentleman who asked us if it was our first time. We confirmed that it was and he gave us a helpful, in depth explanation of all their offerings, as well as their philosophy on locally grown ingredients.
