"This is the best curry I've tasted in Grants Pass. Since moving from Idaho, I've been searching for a local Thai restaurant that could match my favorite spot back home, which had the best curry ever. I've tried a few different places, but none have come close—until now. This restaurant is the closest I've found to that Idaho curry. I ordered the red curry with pork, and it was fantastic. Although I had a family member pick up the food, so I can’t comment on the service or atmosphere, the curry was exceptional. I will definitely be returning for more!"

I got the Pad Thai lunch special which goes from 11-3 for only $11 and filling! They have a list of dishes to pick from for the special.

We have some favorites that are always great. Had a couple of take out entrees that were disappointing but overall 5 stars. Servers are always very friendly. View menu

Wonderful spot! The food is delicious. However, I recommend avoiding visits during hot weather, as the interior can get quite stuffy without air conditioning.

I always bring this place up whenever someone asks about good places to eat. Really nice people that run it and you get a lot for the price. Their curry dishes are insane

Great food and service was spot on. Friendly staff. Did I mention the Red Curry!! The best!! They even make it hot, medium or mild. I absolutely love their house salad dressing. View menu

Great food, marginally expensive but not too bad overall. The decor and atmosphere feel good, I enjoy the paintings on the wall. The entrance is not well made for disabled people, it needs a small ramp to help people get into it. A solid restaurant overall however, recommended!

We decided to stop by on a scorching day when the temperature reached 104 degrees. Unfortunately, the air conditioning had just broken down that day! Exhausted from our travels, the owner graciously allowed us to use the restroom and offered us some cold water. She even recommended another Thai restaurant in Grants Pass when we mentioned we were looking for a place with air conditioning. The menu looked appealing, and I will definitely return the next time I pass through Grants Pass, as they were so kind to us, even though we didn't make a purchase.

"100% true story. We got takeout here last night (they only offer takeout). I’m from Seattle and have many choices for amazing Thai. I wasn’t expecting much and Ban Mai beat expectations. There’s only fives things you need to know about this place 1. Garlic. 2. Garlic. 3. Garlic. 4. Garlic. 5. Garlic. When we pulled up and parked 100 ft from the door and got out of the car my first thought was “Garlic”. My wife went in and got the food and put it in the back seat. Garlic. We went to our room at the Hampton. Carrying it in to our room I said to my wife “our room is going to smell like garlic”. The green papaya salad had about a half bulb of raw garlic. I really liked it, was above average for what we get in Seattle. My beef with vegetables over wide noodles was intense garlic and pretty good, probably average for Seattle. My wife wasn’t very crazy about her stir fried vegetables with deep fried tofu (it was drowning in sauce).A couple hours after dinner my wife had to get something from the car. When she got in the elevator with two other people they immediately began talking about a strong odor. My wife didn’t say anything as they finally decided it was a smell of garlic coming from someone who brought takeout to their room. The last thing she heard them say as she got off the elevator was “I hope it was better for them than for us”.I’d say it was."
