One of the best ice cream shops in the country. Ample vegan options always. Rotating menu every month.

Completely delicious. Went in with my mom and 2 friends. I love that they let you sample so you can make a decision. Such delicious and adventurous combinations. I wish we had one where I live!

This place is always good! We were sad to find out they were out of all the speciality flavors, but you can't go wrong with salter caramel. I love that they do samples and I'm pretty sure anything you got would be amazing! View menu

Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the ice cream. I felt it was mediocre. My girlfriend got the lucky charms option and it was so salty! Apparently, most others don't feel the same as me though, there was constantly a line out the door.

The chocolate brownie ice cream at this restaurant was one of the best I've ever tasted. The waffle cones were delicious and I loved the sprinkles. The service was fast and I will definitely return to try some of the more unique flavors on offer.

This ice cream shop is delicious. The staff is friendly and provides fast service in a clean establishment. The prices are good and they offer a large selection of tasty flavors. I went to this restaurant tonight looking forward to getting ice cream for Father's Day, but the person who assisted us had a rude attitude the whole time. She seemed like she didn't want to be there. I tried to ask her name but couldn't quite hear it - it sounded like Layla. I'm not completely sure, but I won't be returning. I'm giving three stars because at least the ice cream was good.

Expensive but delicious.While the stuff is really pricey, at least it is good. I utilize it as a rare treat spot because it's spendy, so anniversaries, celebrations, etc.They have seasonal flavors that rotate and some of them are dang delicious. Most recently they had one for March that was made of Lucky Charms cereal. I was not expecting it to be as good as it was, and man I wish I had a second pint!This is not for every day ice cream unless you have a nice stacked wallet, but definitely fun and worth a try! :

The ice cream here is amazing. That’s what matters most. The lines are long in the summer. You might have to wait during peak hours on a hot day. You can always skip the line and buy a pre packaged pint but the flavors are usually limited. The flavors can get very creative and they’re not all going to be everyone’s favorite but they will let you sample a few before you buy them. I’ve tried a few of the other small batch ice cream shops in Portland and they just don’t measure up to the quality Salt n Straw has become known for. Absolutely recommend for everyone, including vegans, as they always have a couple options that are lactose free! View menu
