"I am writing while I am angry. I just had a negative experience at Sam 's. My food took forever it seemed to arrive and when somebody put it in the window it sat there. I had to walk into the kitchen to ask that I get my food. When I got it the young man didn 't say anything. I told him I was angry and I would feel better if he at least he said, I am sorry sir it took so long to get your food. He didn 't say that. He said, I didn 't even see your food. No apology. I won 't go back."

It seems like their phone is either broken and they have no interest in fixing it, or they simply don’t answer calls. The food used to be good, but it’s difficult to enjoy when they won’t pick up the phone.

I enjoyed almost everything about this restaurant. It's cozy, with just a few tables, and I found it interesting that it's connected to a casino. The prices are reasonable, and the food was delicious. The place is clean and offers plenty of parking. View menu

The food is always made to order, so it's fresh and hot every time. Be sure to try the cake—it's a must! They offer a delicious selection of shrimp and fish, along with a variety of sides that can be fried or baked. You really get a generous portion, and the quality is consistently excellent!

First, there fried oysters are mouth watering. For the last 6 years I've never found better. All of the food I've had from any location is mind blowing! From fried to grilled. You can't go wrong with Sam's EVER!! A plus they give you more of what you ordered. Like if you get 6 shrimp ? you are going to get more than 6. That's always been my experience . Calling in for take out or dinning in.

The fried shrimp Po' Boy is the best I've ever had! While the fries could have been crisper, they were still tasty, and the red beans and rice, along with the chicken tenders, were excellent as well. The service was very pleasant too. You have to place your order through the gas station next door, but the lady who took our order was warm and friendly, making our wait for food quite enjoyable. I will definitely be returning for another Po' Boy! View menu

My flight was delayed and I was not interested in eating food at the airport while in beautiful Louisiana. I ordered delivery from Sam's and was thoroughly satisfied. Food arrived piping hot, was well presented and delicious. I ordered the fish and shrimp combo and a shrimp po boy. The mains were great but the sides were tuurrible. Y'all can do better than KFC mac n cheese and not as good as Popeyes dirty rice. Overall, good spot will def be back.

Sam's Southern Eatery had a fantastic menu and fantastic food! I'm in town on a work trip and found this place on Yelp. So glad we gave it a try! The chicken sausage gumbo was INCREDIBLE. It came out fast, hot, and it was so full of flavor. I loved their sweet tea too. I got the corn and mac cheese as sides, and unfortunately, I thought they were a bit bland. I'd probably try some of their other sides if I go back again. It's definitely worth a visit if you've never been!
