"The food seemed like it was from the day before, and the salad bar looked quite disheartening. Everything appeared stale. The taco bar was unappetizing and seemed like it had been left out for far too long. The soups looked terrible too, with a crusty layer on top as if they hadn’t been stirred for hours. Overall, it was very unappetizing! On a positive note, my waitress was very friendly and attentive. She went out of her way to prepare a fresh bowl of soup for me in the back, which was great compared to the ones in the display that looked like moldy cheese! I also had trouble finding the tongs for the salad, so I had to improvise."

Good chicken, steak shrimp… but the salad bar can be hit or miss, and they've been out of ice cream for at least 6 months.

Extremely pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere. The food is cooked fresh and the service is hands down, the best ever! The staff is remarkable and absolutely refreshing. Thank you!

The waitress checked on us frequently to ensure we had everything we needed. The customer service was outstanding, and the staff was incredibly kind. This created a wonderfully enjoyable experience for us with family and friends. View menu

The food was good, and the waitress mostly left me to myself, which was fine by me. Sometimes, a nice quiet late lunch is what you need. However, my steak was cooked a bit longer than I would have liked; I requested it medium but received it almost well done. Overall, it’s still a decent place to visit.

Very few customers tuesday made it a pleasant atmosphere. Payin in the beginning with a detailed but i think too complex menu without specials specified makes for a long check in. The cashier was very pleasant but a worker/server was not willing to respond to a request and concern when sewer gas was noticed by a waiting bench inside. Im a plumber and was more than willing to help identify and suggest a remedy to the matter but a whisper ir two by this employee to another instead of getting a man … – show

"Haru Ramen House in Layton, Utah, is a mixed bag in terms of dining experience. Starting with the positives, the appetizers were undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. They were flavorful, well-prepared, and arrived quickly. The gyoza, for instance, had a delightful crispness on the outside with a savory filling, and the takoyaki was a pleasant surprise with its rich flavors and texture. However, the main attraction—the ramen—was a bit of a letdown. While it wasn’t outright bad, it failed to stand out. The broth lacked the depth and richness one would expect from authentic ramen, and the noodles were just average. The toppings were sufficient but didn’t elevate the dish, leaving the overall experience underwhelming. The biggest disappointment, though, was the service. The staff seemed inattentive, and it took a long time to get refills or assistance. The lack of hospitality and care took away from what could have been a more enjoyable meal. It felt as though the staff were either overworked or simply uninterested, which was unfortunate given the potential of the restaurant. Overall, Haru Ramen House has its moments with the appetizers, but the average ramen and poor service make it hard to recommend wholeheartedly. With some improvements in customer service and a bit more attention to the quality of the ramen, this spot could become a much better dining destination. "My fiancé and I ate here for Valentine’s Day and had a delicious dinner. Our server Bryce had some great recommendations. We started off with the crabmeat fries. I love good loaded fries…and these were absolutely fantastic! The fries were cooked to perfection and the flavor was great! We’d definitely order these again. We did the Valentine’s Day special which was dinner for two for $69 (very clever . It came with an appetizer, main course, and a dessert. We chose the crabmeat fries (delicious , crab, shrimp, extra shrimp (which was an additional $4 , and a lemon blueberry dessert. We chose to get the hook reel original sauce in a spicy heat level. I can do a little bit of heat, so spicy was great for me. I probably could have gone a tad hotter. I didn’t try the next heat level, but I think my fiancé would have liked that more. He loves spicy food. The main course was delicious! We couldn’t get enough of that sauce! The potatoes were cooked perfectly and could be easily cut with a fork. We ordered a lemon blueberry dessert, but the server brought us cheesecake. I don’t usually like cheesecake, but we really needed to be heading home, so we didn’t say anything to our server. I ended up loving the cheesecake! It was fantastic when drizzled with both the chocolate and strawberry sauce! Cheesecake is usually too dense for me, but this one was very light. All in all we had a great dinner. It could have been a little better if we were provided with gloves (I hate getting my hands messy . I don’t know if they forgot to provide them or if we needed to ask. It wasn’t a deal breaker though so we just dug in. It was kind of fun : We’d definitely come back for more delicious food."
