"We should have just stayed at the bar. The drinks were fantastic, and the staff was wonderful. However, our meal was a big letdown. Both steaks, which we ordered medium rare, came out very well done. We sent them back. I ordered the steak and scallops for nearly $50, but the steak was quite small—only about six bites—and it came with just two scallops. A sprig of parsley was added to the plate, seemingly just to take up space. The hash browns were undercooked and lacking in flavor."

I visited for the last time and I'm really going to miss this place. They close after this Friday to make way for another high-rise apartment building. It's been a staple in Madison for decades.

An institution that will be missed come March 2022. Not much has changed. The meat was still excellent and cooked perfectly. The hash browns for the table are absolutely worth a few extra dollars. Definitely worth going.one last time. View menu

This supper club has been a beloved establishment in Madison for over 65 years. Unfortunately, it will be closing at the end of February 2022. If you act quickly, you might still be able to snag a reservation. We opted to sit at the bar and enjoyed a delightful Korbel Old Fashioned garnished with olives. It’s a sad farewell—so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, and goodbye.

For dinner, we ordered calamari, cheese curds, filet mignon, shrimp, salmon, and more—all were delicious and full of flavor (we were too eager to eat to take any photos). We were served generous baskets of bread, vegetable appetizers, and a huge assortment of side dishes. Our server was incredibly sweet, attentive, and courteous, while the bartenders were exceptional. Be sure to stop by for drinks while you still can—you'll be glad you did!
