"You can say SOHI is under new management as soon as you go through the door. The atmosphere is boring and dingy the staff is welcoming and rude at times. My wife and I invited friends from us to SOHI last night, my wife and I arrived early and sat down to have a drink. My wife ordered the house Marlowe and I ordered a beer. The waitress brought the house Marlowe to my wife in a dirty glass with lipstick from the previous person on the rim or it would have two or three persons in front of the last person drinking from this class who knows? So I pointed this out to the waitress, she takes the glass back to the bar right away. The waitress then removes another wine glass from the rack, making sure it was clean on the edge. And then she tried to pour the wine from the dirty wine glass into a clean wine glass and then serve my wife again! I immediately listened to them, two other people sitting at the bar they saw what was going on, and the conversation I had with the waitress, they shook their head in disgust and checked whether their glasses were to make sure they were not dirty like the ones I was serving. Then they finished their drinks and left the bar. The bartender then changes the seats with our waitress and became our server? The manager who was in service never came to our table to apologize, explain or say something to my wife and me or to our other guests. We ordered another drink this evening, said the bartender, he never made this drink and it was taken to the table wrong? After completing our meals, we decided that that would be the last time we would visit SOHI. What a shame, I ate at SOHI when it was called STRIP and Zest. Just because a place keeps the same name when management changes everything. Never again will I eat in #SOHI in Southern Highlands. #dirtyglasses #badservice #neveragain"

I don't want to answer the phone. It's 3 PM, and the place isn't busy. I went over to the phone and saw it being ignored.

This is a fantastic spot for a quick bite, a casual meal, or a more intimate experience. Marcus and Lindsey made me feel right at home. I will definitely be returning!

Zest is the best Italian restaurant in Las Vegas for the money. Great food, great service. We are particular fans of the lasagne, the sausages and linguini and clam sauce but really everything is good. I'd give them a demerit for taking pizza off the menu a few years ago but really, you can't go wrong there. The atmospher is unassuming but the food is elite. View menu

This is a wonderful neighborhood spot. They recently revamped the place and now go by Zest Bistro. It’s an excellent spot to enjoy delicious food along with a glass of wine. I’m consistently impressed by how flavorful each dish is when I take a bite. They serve classic American and Italian cuisine that might seem simple on the menu and when it’s served, but the flavors are outstanding! I particularly love the Caesar salad and calamari. I also ordered a chicken and artichoke dish, and the sauce was absolutely fantastic! Can't wait to return!

We tried this restaurant for the first time this week. First impressions, nicely arranged restaurant and bar, food was delicious. Recommend the chicken parmigiana or the seafood pasta dish. Appetizers were great and all portions were worth the money. Service was good, happy hour menu has decent prices and options. This is a good restaurant for drinks, snacks, and a place to catch a game. They offer a free happy hour drink to (most) customers. Be sure to grab the cards at the front of the entrance with details. Met the owners and (he/they) they made me feel at home while expressing a family atmosphere vice your typical dark bar and restaurant. No video poker at the bar. Refreshing.

"Entry: We entered Oscar's via the front entrance of The Plaza at the West end of Fremont Street. Off to the left near the entrance is the escalator that leads you to their second floor. When we entered we were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. We requested a table with a view and she definitely obliged. Atmosphere:The ambience at Oscar's is about as good as you can get in downtown Las Vegas. Centered in a large and beautifully tinted glass dome you get panoramic views of downtown LV and even the sky. Service:The service was a spectacular star experience with our waiter. Our water and drinks were never empty. He was attentive, professional and friendly. Food Drink:The food was very good but not quite up to star. The Chilean Sea Bass was the full fish with skin which is quite different than how most steakhouses prepare just a single filet. It was supposed to be deboned however we found bones while eating. The skin on the filet should be crispy throughout but was only so around the edges. Definitely overpriced for the quality of this meal. The salmon was decent but not amazing. Overcooked just a smidge and not seasoned very well. So pretty much tasted like any other salmon you might expect from a or star restaurant. The filet mignon was decent but probably not even in my top The cut was more fatty than what you would expect from a high end steakhouse and not marbleized. I ordered it medium, and as many steakhouse chefs struggle with cooking a filet properly it was cooked to order on the edges and pretty much completely rare on the inside. The grilled asparagus was likely the high point of the dinner. Was cooked to perfection and tender in the middle, crispy on the edges. The creamed spinach wasn't great. The spinach was undercooked and affected the smooth consistency that you should expect from a good cream spinach.Overall:Definitely worth trying for the experience but don't set your bar too high"
