"4 stars for the food Not the service. If i had to rate the service of the server i would give 1 star. The food was good, small portions but good. I ordered Asahi beer edamame, kani salad and 4 pice’s of salmon sushi ? . The fish was fresh and delicious. Kani salad had a bit of seaweed and avocado, every place makes it a bit different) small portion but delicious with a spicy kick. Edamame was good I would add some salt to it but it was crisp not overcooked but cold it was served after the salad and sushi. Service on the other hand ?. The server was very occupied with his phone. What bothered me most was that he came and removed empty dishes from the table next to me, but did not bother removing empty plates from my table or even asking if i needed anything else. When I asked if there was anything sweet that was available, he told me that i can get up and go see i have a broken ankle very visible) I thanked him for that information got up and went to grab couple of things that i took on the plane with me. The lady that was at the front helped me out with my selection. After I brought everything to my table I collected my things and went by the bar waiting for my waiter to finish showing his pictures to other staff member in order to pay for my bill. I gave a bigger tip to the lady that help me."

The person attending the register at 8:34am on March 4, 2023 was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. When we ordered to-go, he refused to let us look out the window or get a drink, even though we were all of legal age. It's unacceptable that he would treat us this way, especially since we were all over the age of 23.Food: 1/5

I'm not quite sure why this place gets so much negativity. The sushi rolls are decent and certainly acceptable for an airport setting. Is it a bit pricey? Absolutely. But if you're not willing to spend $25 on a meal at an airport, maybe you should have packed a snack in your bag. It's definitely a step up from the typical supermarket sushi that you find in airports, so it's worth a visit.

As a frequent traveler, I have been to countless airport restaurants and have never felt the need to post a review.I tried the Newark airport location after successful trips to the Detroit (DTW) location and all I can do is say stay away. While quality of food is just fine, key items are incredibly overpriced vs. the actual quantity of food you receive. Calling the service poor is a compliment.Other options exist in around Terminal B

Stopped here for a quick lunch while waiting for boarding. No greeting upon entering and was told bluntly to scan their barcode before seating myself. After waiting a long time a waitress finally came to take my order. What ensued was even longer wait before my food was served. I order teriyaki chicken plate, which was slathered in syrup, with steamed vegetables. It was a good portion of food and I got to sit down at a table to wait for boarding. View menu

Overpriced, bad food, worse service. The ginger salad $14) I ordered came with half the ingredients listed on the menu was essentially lettuce and tomatoes). The two waiters working left all their tables neglected, not crazy busy at this time but maybe it was a busy shift. I had to ask or order after 15 min wait, then ask for utensils, then ask for soy sauce. Not a lot of options in this area of Newark airport but do not go here. One benefit it was empty guess this should have been my clue)

I was pleasantly surprised by our experience at the restaurant, especially since we had a challenging day. They had run out of several beers, but that didn't matter because they had substitute options that we enjoyed. My daughter had some solid sushi, and my burger was excellent along with the fries. My son's chicken fingers were a bit overcooked, so just a heads up on that. It was on the pricier side, but we had plenty of space to spread out, which is a luxury in many airport restaurants, so it didn’t really bother us.

I love sushi, and love seeing one in an airport, but unfortunately this restaurant kept telling us to wait a few more minutes because they weren 't ready to serve yet after they had already been open according to their posted hours. We waited approximately 30 minutes and they kept on telling us another 10 or 15 minutes every time, we eventually just walked away. If they had been honest and said Hey, we aren 't ready yet, we need 45 minutes totally understand, but they didn 't. Please work on improving customer service. Thank you! View menu

The fare is good at decent prices. Full bar and friendly staff. Unless you pay $15 to Terminal B for high-speed internet during the mere 30 minutes before your flight, the free internet will be ridiculously slow, such that you'll be unable to load Sora Sushi's menu after scanning the QR code taped to the sticky tabletop. The waitress was nice enough to lend her private smartphone to me for the menu (as in reading the items and ordering them orally) since there is not ONE single copy of a printed menu! Other than that, great sushi and wide selection of bottled and canned beverages.

I ordered a Philly roll and a cucumber eel roll, but the Philly roll didn't specify the ingredients. I expected smoked salmon, but instead received a raw salmon hand roll. While that's not a huge issue, I do appreciate the details and would have preferred what I ordered. I placed my order at 1:18 PM when the restaurant was nearly empty, yet my order was incorrect. I can't help but wonder how many mistakes occur during busier times. I believe they can improve their system. It would be better if staff could focus on serving food and drinks, while orders are taken electronically. As for vegetarian options, it's unclear what is available.

"On Wednesday 12/06 I went to Banzai Sushi, I have never received such bad service in my life… Every time I remember my experience, I get angry, the waitress is rude and has a horrible attitude! It's a shame because the food there is wonderful, but the service is so SO BAD that I lost my appetite. When I got there, there was some water spilled on the table, she took my stepfather's DIRTY NAPKIN to clean it and just left it there. When I asked for things she responded with an ignorant, rude tone. My partner doesn't eat any type of animal protein other than shrimp. So we asked if we could replace the salmon with shrimp in a poke, she checked in the kitchen and said everything was fine. When she came back, I placed my order and she was doing something at the other table, but said to continue because she was listening….my partner also talking about swapping salmon for shrimp at the end and the waitress replies “so it's not like that at all what you want, is something different” and simply left leaving us talking to the wall. When our order arrived, my order came out wrong. I called her and she simply replied “BUT ALSO, WITH HER MAKING ALL THIS MESS WITH SALMON AND SHRIMP…”, sorry, but for me that was the end of the bite. It's okay to get the order wrong, I know it happens, but blaming the customer? Every time she passed by our table I saw her making faces and looking at the kitchen. I thought it was a huge lack of respect, we are paying customers. On top of that, it also includes a 15% tip. Normally, if I receive good service, I will give 20%, after all, I work in customer service and value professionals in my field. And if the service was just bad, I wouldn't bother coming here to report it... But it was horrible"
