"This is one time that I would love to give more then five stars. The food here is so delicious and the people that work here are incredible and friendly. I have been looking for a Thai Restaurant that would just make me want to come back and I found it at Issara Thai in Liberty Station. The spicy level you pick is 0 10 . I can't have spicy food so I am so glad they give you a choice. I had the phad Thai lunch and it came with soup salad two wanton and two non greasy non deep fried egg rolls which I loved. My husband ordered vegetable soup and cashew stir fry so delicious, we started with muscles and how heavenly they were. I suggest making a trip to this restaurant you will not be disappointed."

Excellent food with good and eclectic local regional beers on tap. Plus excellent down to earth wait staff and hostess. Good stuff!!!

I love it so far. I really like the Thai Tea, the number 22 soup I can't pronounce and the Pad Thai!! Sizes are great! I don't like spicy so it is not problem for me. By the way the staff are nice and efficient!

Issara Thai is the best and most authentic Thai restaurant I have tried in San Diego. The food is outstanding. Fresh ingredients and generous portions with reasonable prices. Service is great as well. Great local beer selections and a good happy hour too! Highly recommended!

This restaurant offers the best chicken fried rice and spring rolls around! Although it’s quite a distance from where we live, it’s definitely worth the trip when we’re in the area. We visited on a Saturday night, and it wasn’t too crowded. The service was excellent, and we didn't have to wait for a table. The food was delicious; I opted for a spice level of 3, which was just right for someone who doesn’t want their food too spicy.

Great food. I tried Issara on a whim during business travel. it was not too far from my hotel and had a 96% rating. I went around 830pm, and there were still several dinners. I was greeted and brought water quickly, and my server was helpful when I asked if there was anything particularly good or popular. Drunken noodles we 're great. Good portion, lots of flavor. I got '5 ' spicy level, and it had a great kick without being too hot. I would definitely come and try Issara again.

"I adore this restaurant. Golden Hill is filled with many many quality eateries, and Counterpoint anchors the neighborhood with it's fun atmosphere and dedication to quality. They recently renovated and the new space is open, airy and provides a variety of seating options: bar seating, restaurant seating, and upper balcony (I use this as a quiet place to WFH during the week), and an outdoor patio. I'm partial to the biscuit and gravy for breakfast, but the brined chicken and waffles or breakfast hash always makes me smile and sends me unto the world with a better outlook on life and a doggie bag. When it's hot, delicious crunchy salads are on the lunch menu and the craft beers and unique slushy flavors change. Counterpoint takes the quality of food and libations seriously. The craft cocktails rotate as the bartenders are encouraged to explore and grow. The owner and team are always warm, welcoming and make sure you have a good experience. Did I mention they are DOG friendly? Definitely worth the trip up the hill from downtown if you're looking to wind down after an event or precharge and eat before a baseball game. I love to bring my friends for a snack (try the olive selection) and chat on a twilight night. Space heaters outside if you get cold. Fans inside if you get warm. Honestly if you live in or are visiting the 92102 area code you should go to Counterpoint: good food, really good cocktails, and great company. It is clear that this establishment cares about quality, cares about your comfort and loves if you have a good time."
