Absolutely delicious and full of flavor! I requested extra vegetables, and they happily accommodated me. I’ll definitely order again!

I had a wonderful experience yesterday, so I decided to come back for another meal today. Unfortunately, it didn't quite meet my expectations. Additionally, they didn't cut my dish in half as I had requested. I hope my next visit will be an improvement.

The Kua Kee Mao Drunken Noodles were absolutely delicious! I only wished there were more noodles, but they were incredibly tasty and had a nice kick (I ordered them "spicy"). There was a good portion of vegetables and eggs as well. My husband thoroughly enjoyed both the Lao Sausage Banh Mi and the BBQ Chicken Banh Mi, declaring them both excellent! We will definitely be ordering from here again.

I was very disappointed with my visit to Spicy Joi’s Banh Mi Lao Street Food. I paid over $15 for a small serving of crispy pork belly with rice, which felt like a joke. I had assumed the vegetables would be the main part of the dish, with the crispy pork as just a side, but that wasn’t how it was served. To make things worse, halfway through the meal, none of the pork skin was actually crispy—it all had a rubbery texture. It’s unfortunate to see a restaurant that used to be good decline like this. I had an incredible experience with the BBQ Chicken Banh Mi. It was bursting with flavor, featuring a perfectly crunchy crust and a soft interior. The chicken was exceptionally tasty, and the vegetables were wonderfully fresh. My only wish is that there had been more of that delicious chicken. I would give it a solid 9.5 out of 10. The Lemongrass Chicken was also enjoyable, although a bit on the salty side—I’d rate it an 8 out of 10. One thing to note is that the Banh Mi sandwiches are on the smaller side, so if you're really hungry, I recommend ordering two. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town. Yum!

The crispy pork belly paired with sausages was a fantastic combo, especially alongside sticky rice and jeo. My favorite was the banh mi, featuring smoked or charred tofu—a delicious and unique twist. The grilled chicken was equally impressive. Don’t miss out on grabbing at least two spicy pork rinds to enjoy on the way home. The lemonade struck the perfect balance of sweetness and refreshment. To finish, we savored Noelle's beautifully crafted coconut desserts, layered for both visual appeal and delicious flavor.

This is hands down the best banh mi I've ever had, and I’ve tried many from some legendary spots in San Jose over the past 17 years. The bread was perfectly crusty on the outside while being warm and soft on the inside. The vegetables were marinated flawlessly and served super cold, which contrasted beautifully with the meat that was also perfectly marinated and served hot. Check out the pictures I included!
